Really good numbers for a non-revup DE. I'm actually jealous, my tuned revup DE by ZCG produced 277bhp & 270ft/lb with very similar boltons (DC Headers, ART Pipes instead of HFCs, MREV2 lower + spacer). But I was running with the stock intake and a cheaper catback exhaust (I have since changed the intake tube for the Mishimoto unit, but still got the 06 filter box). Dang-it Shadow! Now you got me wanting to replace my Bassani exhaust with the Motordyne system and reconsider keeping my stock filter box.
Cheers!

The MD TDX2 is definitely on the louder side when it comes to exhausts, but the sound is intoxicating at WOT.

My '06 Rev-up with every bolt-on (cams were going to be next) made 281 whp SAE corrected. Those numbers are very good.

Now I'm curious where I stand lol.
Icer keep that box! How do you like the Mishimoto anyway?
I never got on the MD exhaust train, loses a bit of the VQ sound IMO.
My favorite on stock headers this far is Fujitsubo by far, on headers I'm quite fond of mine.

I had Borla everything. I use Borla on most of my cars. I like their sound.

Haha do iiiiiit I have 6 different exhaust systems in my garage, Rob told me the tune is specific and to pick the exhaust i loved the most so i stuck with my Motordyne since we all know those make the best power haha. Would like to throw my Amuse RS silent and see what numbers that makes though sometime in the future.

My friend took a vid of me going through 1-4 gear and it honestly gives me "lazy E60 M5" vibes. It does have its happy spots while cruising though, 2500-3200 rpms on a flat surface you can tell the helmholtz resonators are doing their job.

I had my Fujitsubo Super Ti on before i put the Motordyne on, I love knowing I have an exhaust that I don't have to shout over while driving to communicate with my passengers haha. Sounded nice and refined with the stock headers and even with the DC headers

Hey Dark,

So far I like the Mishimoto tube. It's well constructed with good hardware. It fits nicely to the stock TB and MAF/Airbox. Only two complaints. One; I noticed some loose silicone mold casting bits around the PCV port (inside the tube). These bits were very loose and a potential risk of breaking off into the intake, so I cleaned them up with a razor blade and washed the tube inside and out before installing. This is a serious QA concern IMO, but I'm not sure if bits of silicone entering into the combustion chamber would actually cause damage.

Two; the tube itself was about 1/2 - 3/4" shorter in overall length (from TB to Filter box) when compared to the OEM tube. I spent a good amount of time fiddling with the adjustment until I got it the best I could (rotating/clocking it, and adjusting the airbox slightly). I wish it would have pushed onto the TB & Airbox all the way to the stops. In the end I think it's hanging off the MAF tube stop about 1/4 - 1/2". Still plenty of overlap to ensure a reliable coupling that won't pop off.

Otherwise, it's a great piece. I don't expect a whole lot from it, but it is more flow efficient than the stock plastic unit. I totally get why Nissan designed the plastic tube the way they did. The flexible accordion portion makes removal/installation possible without the need to remove the strut tower brace. You WILL have to remove the brace to install the Mishimoto tube.

Since I'm using the OEM Filter Box, I didn't notice any change in sound. I can however hear some noises from the Mishimoto OCC I installed, and that thing really does work. I highly recommend their OCC solution, it fits very nice & clean without rubbing and enough access for easy maintenance. I had the Saikou Michi unit years back, but I could not get it to fit right without it rubbing the coolant hard pipe next to Bank 1.
Cheers!

I replaced the rear brake pads today. I used Bosch Quietcast ceramic pads (the BC905 kit). I got the matching pads for the front (the BC815 kit), but the front pads are still OK so they weren't replaced at this time. My Z has almost 154k miles on it now. Aside from midwest rust taking its toll on the rear fender lips, it's still in great shape and drives fantastic!

Nice, lots of chassis bracing and shiny new coil-overs. Bummer that the subframe crossmember is making contact with the exhaust pipe (hence the added padding). Since it's not a slip joint, you can't rotate/clock the pipe either. What exhaust is that anyway? Midpipe looks custom, but the rear muffler is aftermarket?
Thanks for sharing!

Took some time to wash, clay, and wax my car yesterday since it was such a nice day. Then I decided to finally check out this used Tomei dual exit I ordered from Japan for STUPID cheap, I was very impressed by the condition its in.

DC Sports was having a crazy summer sale, front strut bar was $54.25 shipped to my house so I grabbed one.
