Default Found a great deal on Nismo rear springs

I'm gathering parts for improvements I'll be making to the 2003 Z project that I picked up earlier this year.
Today I found a pair of new Nismo rear springs locally on FB Marketplace that will go on the '03. I already put Nismo springs and shocks on my '05 some years ago and really like the feel of the suspension that way.

I still need to find a suitable engine to go in the '03, but there are a lot of projects stacked up ahead of it right now.

Awesome find khnitz! Those look brand new! Hope you got a good price, those aren't S-Tune right? Those are OEM Nissan P/Ns?

Also, I believe it was thanks to your input some years back that pushed me in the direction of using the B6s with the Nismo Coils. I'm really happy with that combination. Only other mod to the suspension I might consider is adding the Whiteline sway bars.
Cheers!

Yeah, they seem brand new and OEM Nismo parts - the plastic seal is still intact on the bags for the springs and they are totally clean with no paint defects or dirt. I paid $50 for the pair

That's good to know that the B6's are working well! If I can't find Nismo shocks, I'll go the B6 route, too

Those are not Z springs, at least not for the rear.
Both S-tune and OEM Nismo use dual rate springs

Double checked, it's a Z34 spring

OK, so to confirm your meaning: they are Nismo rear springs from the 370Z, like as listed in the installation instructions here?

Now I need to double-check, but that should be what I have on my '05 currently, as well.

Yes, but you shouldn't use that spring on a Z33. Nismo chose a dual rate for a reason.

Thanks for the detail. I'll double-check what's on my '05 now (dual rate or not) and report back on what I have. Whatever it is has been working great for me for the last ~5yrs since I put them on.

I'm back in town after being in Vegas for SEMA this week, and I see that Continental is offering a decent rebate on a set of tires, so I'm getting ready to order a set for my Z (the '05).

But since I mention SEMA, here was a neat Z that I saw there this week:

I was at SEMA with my company to visit with some of our customers. Among them is Toyota, who we supported in their booth with a display of the Multimedia Screen Protector that we supply to them. It was a great show this year, and attendance/foot-traffic seemed up by a lot from last year!

I put new tires and TPMS sensors on my '05 this morning. I went with Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus tires, and this is on the stock 17" rims with the staggered sizing.

The service writer (a young man in his 20's) was appreciative of the Z 😁
