It's the best looking sub $100k car on the road?

I know that's pretty subjective, but I can't think of a better looking car until I start getting up to Porsche territory.

Yup, my best one was the first day at the track with the Porsche Club. Here you have all these guys with super-expensive cars and they come over to check out mine! I think the Z already has a reputation that precedes it...

I was drooling over this guy's NSX, and he was over drooling at my car...kinda funny!

I can also claim that within 5 minutes of owning it, I had a chick (good looking) ride in it. I literally just signed the paperwork when the sales manager comes in and asks if I would do him a small favor: there's this girl outside looking to get one (a graduation present from Dad) and my Z is the ONLY one on the lot. I take her for a test drive and it was all good. I will always remember the way she giggled when I dropped the hammer to pass a Jeep!

Did I mention that I LOVE this car???

(1) Just love the sound of this car!
Going through the gears, especially between 4 - 6K RPMS. I just love driving with the windows down, listening to that sweet music. That's why I don't care so much that the stereo sucks, I just listen to my baby...

(2)The 6 speed transmission.
The close ratios, short throw shifts, and "bolt-action rifle" feel of changing the gears. I love going throurgh the gears and then down-shifting at all the lights and corners. This also produces the sound, see #1 above

(3)Being the center of attention.
What can I say, we all have our stories. Mine are the same as yours. But it sometimes it gets old when I'm in a hurrying and someone stops me to want to talk about the car. But generally it's still fun...

(4)The unadulterated, raw power of this car!
I just can’t get use to the accerlation of this machine. This also ties into #1 & #2. I love accelerating in this car. Going through the gears, revving it up to about 6,000 RPMS, and slamming it into the next gear, revving up again, and slamming into the next gear again. And listening to this sweet engine and exhaust sounds as I do. Wow, what performance. Accelerating through the gears never gets old. There is nothing like the feeling as I accelerate up the on ramp onto the interstate and be hitting 100 MPH before I even merge into the Interstate traffic.

Man, I could go on all night....

Only got the car in August. Love (no, 'obsessed' is the word my wife would use), my Z. Whenever I park and leave the Z, I am always driven, as if by some mysterious force, to turn back and look at the car again, again, and again......

As already pointed out by other members, would make up any excuse just to get behind the steering wheels again.

Love the sound of the engine and exhaust, hence, not bothered too much by the notorious poor BOSE system, 'cause I rarely even turn it on.

And of course, the attention, a common daily experience of all Z owners, I'm sure.

On and all, a very happy man...

momentum ... i thought i was the only one that kept looking back !!!!

what is not to love/obsess over ? At every stop light, you can count on someone looking at it from kids to older crowd.

a 6 that won't quit (both tranny and engine) the look of intrest in everyones eyes when you pull in. i have been asked the usual "is this a porche of some kind" and the "what is that ?" wife hates it because of the female head turning. the look is just incredible. would i buy another, you bet, would i sell what i have for any other car....ummm...nope....not even the exotics. this car is everything i look for in a car. a client of my dad's drives a 911 and swears when his $1550/mo lease is up, he is buying a Z.

basically, to go along with nissan's marketing....

I have never been happier with a car in my life and at 56 I have owned plenty of cars.

The performance is great and ironically the car seems to be getting faster now that I have about 5,000 miles on it.

I remember driving home once, and as I was stopped at a 4-way. This guy in a riced-out Prelude with an aluminum wing a coffee-can exhaust stops in the middle of the road to glance at my car. It was so funny to see the look on his face. My classmate did the same thing happened the first day I drove it to class. The Z is definitely an eyecatcher.

Well first off I've got to hand it to marhot, that post was excellent! I feel the same way, without trying to take away from what was posted!

But otherwise, all I can reiterate (which I know I've done more often than not since I've had my baby) is how much I love this car too! I'm seriously at the point where I don't even look at her like a car anymore...it's my baby! Since I'm 20, I really am not in position to have a family of my own just yet, but my Z is my child as far as I'm concerned! I've only had her almost for four months now, and zero problems, zero complaints. Actually, my only complaint is that winter is looming ahead, and circumstances like that will stop me from driving my baby everyday like I have been since I got her in July!

I have never owned a sports car, let alone any kind of car like this. I know I've said this before, but I honestly can attest I don't know the whole legendary Z car history. I wasn't even alive for most of that! But I do know, I love this Z, and I plan to keep it until she is un-driveable...at which point I will probably spend whatever amount of $ necesary to have her fixed up. I'm sure a lot of other owners can agree with me, er with the idea that is, that as time goes on, your love for the Z increases! So yeah, a few months down the road will be great, but try to imagine years and years ahead! I know I'm still going to get the same feeling I do now turning the ignition, and the sweet sounds as I fly through 2nd, 3rd, 4th...You get the idea.

I wont really go into looks/design of the car, simply because a lot of people will have their own opinions, etc...but the car speaks for itself. It's beautiful, and all I need to know is that when I frst saw it, I fell in love with it. Case closed for me...

I wish Christina Nguyen would marry me too lol

I love how the Z just stands out amongst most other cars, for all the right reasons. It was funny I saw a blue Rx8 the other day, followed shortly after by the same color Z, and the RX8 although its nicely designed too, its barely noticable still above other cars whereas the Z's amazing style shines and you can pick it out of the crowd.
