Default Think I'm done!

Just got the car back from the body shop maybe 3 weeks ago. On my way to work this morning in traffic. Some older guy in his 60-70's in his Chevy Tahoe decides yeah this is the lane I want and its to bad about your lil sports car. Crashed into my driverside then continued to push me into the gaurd rail. To top it off he flees.

FK That I put the pedal to the medal and chase him down able to cut in front of him and a witness who saw the whole thing got behind him, we manage to get him to pull over. Sheriffs come and immediately give me an attitude. I'm guess he was being judge mental because of my age I dunno I'm 30 now I cant help that I look young. Finally he eased up when he realized I had a witness.

I ask the officer is anything going to come out of the fact he fleed the scene and used his truck as a weapon? NO! NO, WTF you mean NO? Obviously I didn't say it like that to him but you get the point. If the tables were turned I'm pretty sure I'd be calling for bail. There is no such thing as justice unless you serve it yourself!

My car crushed by a truck, and having to go thru a body shop again and insurance. I think once fixed I'll be trading her in. I don't want to be looked at like a young kid with a sports car WTF?! Sorry for my venting. My neck hurts my back is starting to ache up and honestly don't see the light rite now.

Hey sorry to hear that man. You just gotta hate people like this that don't have any respect for others. Accidents happen, but to flee just shows complete ignorance. Lets hope that real good karma catches up to this idiot.

Was the other driver ticketed? Were you both ticketed?

You could have told the officer you want to file charges against
the other driver for his actions. I believe that the officer is required
to allow you to do so should the officer's investigation on-scene
reveal that the story you;ve shared with us prove accurate.

If you are happy with your Z, don't let these things tear you apart.. Sorry about the accident.. I got hit on a stop sign 2 months 8 days and 3 hours after i got my car brand new.. This is just like a relationship... You do not get separated when you get into a fight.. you sit down and resolve your problems

like Kelly said, I hope karma comes back and he has a heartattack or something...

Why do people have to be so stupid sometimes?

You are correct. As a matter of fact, the driver should have been arrested on the spot for a hit and run since you even had a witness. Though this may be different from state to state. Either way, sounds like the officer was not doing hos job correctly.

I got hit a few years back by a driver in a Chevrolet Spectrum. He fled and my self, and a friend chased him down to a local night club. The owner of the club came out and said the guy ran to the back and jumped in a dumpster. One of the bouncers pulled him out before I even got there. I ended up having 4 witnesses including the bar owner. The guy went to jail on the spot and I even had to go to court because he was not insured.

I'm sorry this happened. If I were in this situation, I would hope insurance
issues me a check, purchase all carbon fiber replacement parts and start
a new project

I requested the officer to arrest him, however he stated that by law blah blah blah... Basically what he said was he is there now. And the guy was claiming to be scared. I was like Scared he just crushed my car into a guard rail you kidding me? My neck is killing me and I just got a call from the witness. He was shell shocked when I told him they didnt arrest him. So basically you can flee the scene as long as you fess up sooner or later.

As was I. I also had a wreck 3 months ago involving 2 other vehicles. The driver of the vehicle which caused the accident had a suspended license, but had insurance, and the vehicle that as impacted first had no insurance. I ended up colliding with the first vehicle and tearing my DD to ****. However, the guys insurance paid even though he did not have a valid license...thank god. Sadly my MKZ now rests in vehicle heaven known as COPART.
