Default check: premium gas

when buying a 350z, is there a way to find out if previous owners
used only premium gas on their 350z? like checking engine oil cap..& etc

Yes. Check the gas quality control meter. Its under the car near the fuel filter. It will show the number of fill-ups, octane and what brand was purchased.

Sounds weird to me
Probably the reason being for some of 350z are so cheap is because previous owner forgot to put premium gas and f---ed up the engine lol

No, you should probably look into a different platform.

Considering it won't harm the engine, it doesn't matter what gas they ran.

I always buy the least expensive fuel available at the pump. I have a 2003 350Z, and the engine runs perfectly “drinking” the least costly fuel (6 years and 60K miles now).

It’s stupid to pay more $$ for a higher grade fuel when you don’t need this.

The engine doesn't run perfectly on 87, I'll tell you that right now. You're losing a ton of power by doing this.

Is that by the flux capacitor?

If you put in 87 octance and slam on the gas full throttle at low rpm your gonna get pre-ignition (knocking). Have fun with that. Not good for the engine.

That's what the knock sensor and retarded timing maps are for. You won't blow your engine on 87oct, it just will perform like crap.
