vowed to myself that i wouldn't pick on ricers, made good on it for the last 3 months. but, as i was driving down the Beltway 8 feeder here in Houston, this red, fartcanned civic paces beside me, revving and crap. i ignore him, but he starts pulling some BS like trying to beat me to the merge into I-10 nad getting all up behind and beside me. well, after a couple of minutes of this crap, the next time he revved, i dropped it to 4th, took it to 100mph, and looked for him in the rearview mirror. MFer dropped into the next exit. so i guess that's a kill for him, since he made me break my vow. drat.

 

Its better to just ignore these idiots. What do you gain from it? Nothing!

One person did that to me on the freeway. He was driving an Old Mitsubishi lancer (like Evo III) i was on 100kph (60 mph) he was like accelerateing past me and slow down and past me again and slow down again. I was on my Cruise control and so i won't bother to race him. Because he just being an idiot.

 

i kick it in cruise control when im on the freeway... i saw a car speeding up fast.. was a little old honda CRX...

he went past me just a little bit but his breaks lights were on so i was guessing he was tryin to stop for a lil bit... he was rite beside me (i was in cruise at 65) and i was on the phone.. he kept looking over at me... and after about a min took off...

not worth it... if anything its worth hitting the breaks to get further away from that shitty sounding exaust

nigevellie, after paying over $15,000 in insurance in the past three years and a trip to jail, I really suggest you keep your vow not to street race here in Houston.

 

Ricers give me thier Wack stare all the time, after they catch up to me. There so hungry for it. Sometimes I feel sorry for them and throw them a bone, Give'em the a$$ whipping they asked for. Most times it's enough for me to know I own them anytime I want.
Usally that PO's them more. They are not worth the ticket. OK maybe sometimes.

actually the other nite a dub (which I have respect for) golf GTI..started to try and screw with me....and having just got out of work (1:30 am, highway was empty)...I had my fill, blew him away
@120 mph...didn't want too..but I just had too...scary thing was, Z felt soo stable...and was at only about 4500 rpm in 6th...my new vow is not to let these "kids" get the better of me...keep it under a 100

 

Don't feel bad. I've broken that same vow twice now............Well, actuall only once with this idiot in a Mitsu spider acting a real idiot but my wife was the one who said I needed to kick his a$$ so I did to 125 & backed off. The second time was an even bigger idiot in a 325i. He was cutting in front of me & sh!!t. I had to whip him a couple of times. The last blow by I looked over, waived bye & topped at 140 leaving him way way behind. I slowed to almost the speed limit & let him go by me. He left me alone after that. All said, really stupid on my part but man these guys are a pain!!

 

Like i said guys, i do feel bad for breaking my vow. there really was no good reason for me to do it. also, freeway speed was about 80mph where we were, so i only took it from 80 to 100, which as you all know, means i just dropped it to fourth and waited for a second to get there. i make no excuses.

no one has bothered me since i purchased my z. i used to get challenges all the time though when i had my mustang cobra. i raced them a couple times and then figured it wasnt worth it.

now in my z all i get from the ricers is a nod or a "shaka" sign.
