Question trade in value of my '03 Z is $20k?

I went to a honda dealership here and they gave me that trade in value for my Z. Is this right or should I sell it for more? How much should I get for my car? BTW, I have a 2003 Enthusiast MT (head&side airbags) w/ 12,400 miles.

I'm thinking of trading it in for '04 Honda Pilot EXL w/ Nav. I might get another Z in the future, if there is a 2005 ZTT

Why would you go to a dealership?.....for that price they better be giving u the pilot at incoice. Go private party you will do better.

If you are selling it privately then ignore the blue book. Ask for what you either want/need to get out if it. Most wil want ot haggle anyways so, definetly start high.

Wow, that hurts. I have 12K miles and if I sold it for 25.5K that means it cost me 800 per month between loss in value from purchase price and monthly payments over the last year. I guess that is what happens when you get rid of a car early in the ownership.

Well KBB says that for an Enthsiast with everything is

26.5K in trade in value

27.8 for private sale

29.1K retail value

Do yourself a favor go to a place like Carmax they usually give you the Trade In value if in good shape.

I have been shoping for an 03 and the dealerships are selling the 03 Enthusiast 6-speed's for about 26-27K. The new 04's are 28K. So not much price drop getting a used one.

PS they wont give me Sh|T for my 02 Spec V on trade either.
LOL

Yea, I've been tryin' to find value on mine too.

Thinkin' about just gettin' a used Pathfinder or something.

I need the space.

Whatever car it is, it'll be silver damn it!

2 black cars so far, I'm going to be lazy for once!

Are you willing to lose $800 per month or from what your saying $9600 so you can drive a Honda??? You need to get married so she can knock the **** out of you. You can only lose that kind of money when you are single. Why would you want to get rid of the Z for a Honda SUV. If you need something to haul crap around take the $9600 you will lose trading the Z and buy a used truck or SUV.

Where are you getting these numbers? When I go to KBB.com it doesn't ask for trim type or color.
