Z Day + 1- The Zaino Chronicles w/pics
Not a whole lot of driving today but there was a whole lot of work with the car.
The day began with a wash, then clay bar, then another wash!
A break then the Z1 went on. Drying time then Z2 , more drying and then Z 6.
Repeat.
Lucky today was really hot so the drying time was not very long.
This is my first time using Zaino and it really is all they say it is. Here are some pics of the results:

COOL! Better get some ZAINO on those toes!
Nice job ZB. Didn't you get the ZFX so the drying time was faster?
Keep on Zaino-ing my man. I now have 6 coats on the Stealth and now I just hit it with some Z6 after every wash and it still looks awesome.
Still waiting for my Brickyard Track................................................

FYI: ZFX has to do with curing times, not drying times. The poly sealant, like a paint job, no only has to dry, but cure as well, (about 12-24hrs) before another coat can be added. With ZFX, you can add another coat almost imediately.

Zaino is a polymer sealant (i.e. a car wax from the furture ) Ill explain it all in the next Detailing Session. Barrister, good for you, spending time keeping the z looking great. I hope every Z owner does this. Car will gain a reputation.

Brad I have a question:
What would you recommend for the interior vinyl?
I'm not sure what i should use but I want something that will protect the interior and make it look good.

Ahha, I have just the product for you Barrister. Something called 303 Areospace Protectant. Its water based and has no silicons like its evil cousin Armor All. Also unlike Armor All, its not realy shiny, just adds a deep satin sheen. Also has light cleaners. This product i recomend you not only use on the vinyl, but the leather and plastic as well. Works awesome. Check it out at properautocare.com.

Oh yeah, the directions may say (i forget) to spray the product directly onto the surface. Don't do that, thats just wasting product. Instead, spray it liberaly onto a cotton cloth and rub it into the surface, let it dry for 5-10 min, then buff with a dry cloth. I use this stuff on any plastic, rubber or leather surface in/on the car. Its that good.

They have info on all of their products. You can also search threads for Zaino and read the protocol I used.
Brad: In the past, I had used Armour All on the interior of my Stealth (prob 4-5 years ago) and haven't used it since. Ever since I have had the car I get this cloudy haze on the inside of the windows (mostly the windsheild and rear hatch window). It is extremely hard to get rid of without smearing/hazing. I have used every product you can imagine for glass and it still always comes back. I would suspect that it may still be the Armour All fumes leeching out of the interior when the inside of the car gets really hot.
Any thoughts on 1) what this is and 2) how do I combat it?

Actually, I would REALLY like to know the answer to that last question as well.
My friend's Maxima has this haze on every window... it's really weird... you wipe it off and it comes back, in all types of weather...
