Sponsorship
Being a manufacturer that would be the worst way to try and obtain a sponsorship because you cant afford to finish what you started. You need to build something on your own first and show you can build something worth sponsoring. There are a lot of people out there that spend a lot of time and money on builds without asking for anything and dont get sponsored.
I would recommend building something first to show you can build a car worth sponsoring. Asking a company to sponsor someone who has never built anything you might as well ask for $20,000.00.

How much do you think kits cost new for a 350Z?
I did not say I had 3 cars, I have HAD 2 previous, this is my 3rd. I have made money off every car I owned, and baught this car in winter. I earn a majority of my money during the summer, so I will have to wait untill winter to build. I'll be working more than I can imagine to get the first 10,000. 3,000 is the most I will need. I really am trying to understand why some people feel the need to have totally differant attitudes twards kids. If I were to say I was 35, you guys would have acted totally differant. Ive worked harder, and sacraficed more than most of the people on this fourm to even just buy this car... but most of you just do not want to accept that fact.
Descrimination against German **** stars

I was not refering to you with my post. When I first got my liscense I did not know if a car with 1000hp was fast or 10hp was fast. Then I met some mechanics through friends. and decided to get a manual, turbo'd car. that was when I baught the jetta 1.8t. worst car ever. It was my first build, and lasted 5ish months. It was annoying not being able to put the power to the ground I would spin the tires 24/7. I convinced my parents into letting me sell it and get a 350z. This is the car I chose that would take me through college. I am not sure how I would prove this to a company, but its the truth. it would even work out if some companies simply give me a doscount.
The only problem with that is If I complete the build with out cams, valves/springs/retainers. Then I will have to take the motor apart again, instead of just doing it all at once.
Im hoping to spend no more than 8000 on a kit.

I only need 3,000 more. and yes I know people that will be able to help me built the motor, Dont try and tell me that I cant do it. I have allready built a 431 whp jetta. (my first car). Im pretty confidant I will be able to build a 700whp car. The only thing that is setting me short is cams, and valves, springs, retainers.
Stay in school kid....please stay in school.
^^Always spoiling the fun Dave. Party pooper.
I got many laughs from this fr3ad. I got sponsored after dropping $44,000 into the ride. Sponsors don't come that easy. You've gotta build the car first, show marketing potential, then they'll pick you up after the fact. Basically, you'll achieve sponsorship once you prove to be marketable.
Sacrifice. I graduated HS in 1993, spent 4 years in the Navy, 6 years in college, 2 years supporting my family, come home everyday after working 8 hours, clean my son's $hit diapers, do laundry, clean house, bath my son, play with my son, put the kid to sleep, then starting my personal chores at 11pm every night. My same day starts all over early in the morning again. Somewhere in between all this I try to find time for my hobbies just to stay sane. That's sacrifice...
