PC's and video in the Z.....you guys will need this
If you are planning a pc for the car for genreal media needs(mp3's, dvd's) you should definately look into this. I'm using now and it works well.
http://www.daemon-tools.com/
It basically allows you to map a virtual "dvd' drive from you pc so you can mount and watch dvd' movies that have been burned into an ISO format. For those with perplexed faces right now...try this....you get your favorite DVD's from the house (because renting and returning would be piracy and I'm not condoning that)and ripp them to your car's PC harddrive. Using the above you can watch that DVD's just as if the disk was in the car and just as if you actually had a dvd drive. It allows you to watch your back ups with out converting.
I'm setting up another machine in the house to be stationed near my TV, I will then rip my most watched DVD's to the drive and can just scroll on screen and find what I want to watch....Typical movie in ISo runs around 1Gb give or take so include you MP's collection and a 80 gig drive should be substantial.
Something to think about if you haven't seen it. It works really well and the picture quality is great...I'm sure it would be great for the showcar guys... and anyone who foregets to get movies out of hot cars. Better security for your DVD's becasue they stay in the house.
I take no responsibility for what you yahoo's do with this
....keep in mind your state laws regarding video in cars and act accordingly. I can say that roadtrips are magically cut shorter with Days of Thunder and Boondock Saints but I think I just read that somewhere...... read deeper = show cars only

I use daemon tools on my laptop since my laptop doesn't have an internal DVD. Just wanted to add that it works very well for me and would also recommend it.
For switching between movies I think the best I have seen is software called Media Box. Check it out at http://www.media-box.org
