I have been asked at least 10 times if my 350Z is a limited edition and how much did i get it for, because of my rear emblem (Z33)... They are always shocked when i tell them that i just made my emblem & that my car is Base Model... maybe i should just play along and say "Yeah its the LIMITED EDITION Z" and only 100 were made... hehe

I just bought an extra set of 350Z emblem from someone who swapped theirs with a fairlady z. Then i just took the 3's and the Z from the set(s) and voila...

 

i thought that's how you did it. Looks cool

Jsn, well, the ends (trunk) curve so it lifts a bit... i might redo and put them on the other side... because the Z needs to be in the flatter area... but its been fine so far... and i've washed my car 5 times already and it's held on, so i'll keep it on there for a while... maybe when i get bored one of these days, i'll switch it... give it a euro look...

 

Sorry, I don't get it. What am I missing? I mean... I suppose it means something. Or is it just to be different? I can't figure out why if it's a 350 Z you'd want to change it to a Z33......

 

Because it is a Z33, the 300ZX was the Z32. Kinda like the 95-99 M3's or 3 series are E36 while the 2000 + 3 series are E46's.

 

Off topic, but does anyone know what kind of paint to use to paint the "FAIRLADY Z" emblems black?

Not flat or matte, but a little glossy, not too much.

Im gonna buy extra emblems and take all the zero's and I'm gonna have a Nissan Zoo. or a 3,500 Z I just dont know where to get a comma at. Now I'm depressed gotta go.

 

someone did something like it, but not totally black.. more like pearl black... i think its called electropalted? seach for it...
