Default Getting bonus check, help me decide what to get...

I am getting a 800 dollar bonus check sep 1st. Man I can't decide what to get with it. I really want to get some new mods, but I just don't know what to do. 800 bucks can get me some cool stuff. So here is a list of things I think I can get for 800 beans...

4.09 gears, bought and installed will probably clean me out.

Dyno tune. (600 bucks right?)

New leather interior from leatherseats.com

Wheel spacer, tires, and lowering springs.

Clutch and lightened flywheel

I know of a place I can get a TK bumper for about 800.

Any suggestions that I don't have listed?

Thanks all.

I would go with , spacers , tires , springs , however I think you should save your money till you have enough to do it the right way.

What would be the right way?

I don't want to change rims I actully like the stock 03 track rims. Was going to get a pair of 265's for the rear, I already have a pair of 245's for the front, put 20mm spacers up front and 25mm spacers in the rear. Get some eibachs, roll the fenders and say bye bye to my money. If I went that route.

Is this totally off base or something? Coilovers are totally out of the question.

Just looked at your Z again; spacers, springs, and tires is my vote.

Otherwise invest it in Ford stock wait a few months and cash out for a nice return.

You can just endorse that check right over to me if you'd like

Its easy for other people to tell you how to spend your money, but spend it the way you want. Sounds like you have some good ideas.

You sound very ambitious yet indecisive and would probably feel some sort of buyer's remorse. Keep planning out your mod list, save your money for now and get everything you listed all at once

I would go with Investing the money in your bank in case a rainy day comes along the way.

Go get the Hotchkis TVS Stage 1 and install it. That should do you fine.

You'll be looking at less than $600 once Uncle Sam gets his hands in there.

it depends what's more important to you..almost everything you listed was in a different category of mods..more comfortable interior, better looking car, better handling car, faster car..think about it, personally, i'd rather make my car handle better before i give it more power. i just put in some hotchkis sway bars in my car and they really make you feel much more confident through the corners, although they're kinda noisy =/

Default get cho money mang.

heres the best advice from a major impulse shopper haha.

Think of these 2 things and make your own choice..everyone has thier own taste etc.. but this may help you decide HOW to shop, not WHAT to shop for.

1- whats is something you really want but normally wouldnt have the patience to save for?
( maybe those seats? look at mine.. they are custom extasy line from eric at leatherseats.com.. tell hiim i sent you btw)
but seriously, theres stuff you can afford easier, like 100-200 dollar items..(spacers, springs etc..) for us paycheck to paycheck guys, we can sneak em into our normal 2 week check's "play money" .. but 800 bucks above your budget at once can get you some things most people may not spring for if they had to save up and wait.

2- most importantly, You want to buy the one thing ( or group) that you can COMPLETE w that amount with out HALF ASSING.

ie, dont buy stuff you know you will end up replacing w the real deal later on. Ive bought a cheap body kit, a set of drop springs, wings, interior carbon overlays etc.. all just to be discarded or sold when i got what I REALLY wanted later on, like coilovers, an auth jdm body kit, real wheels etc. )

When you think of it that way, it will be very clear what you really want for your car right now. Theres no better feeling than having something new .. but that also doesnt require anymore supporting equipment etc.. ie.. ITS DONE!

It's after taxes. Supposed to be around a grand before taxes. I think I decided on buying some spacers and saving the rest. Whatcha think? Good decision?

Dude, that may be the best advice anyone has ever given me. You are totally right. I think I am performanced out at this point. I think the only thing I could do that would make any difference is the two things I listed: dyno tune or 4.09 gears. I'd love to get a single turbo, but I don't ever see that happening unless I win the lotto or something. I think that spacers and springs would be the best thing to do and I won't blow the whole thing.

Bing!

Yeah, save it. Dont spend right away. Do you own your car? or have a note? put the money away, pay off the car.

Get your seats done. Classic soft trim charges that much for the z labor included.. (in my town). Knocking out the smaller items will be easier later
