I have an 04 base model, first mod was a nismo diff. The diffrence in feel of the car after that was amazing. My friend has 05 base and he bought the vlsd, but he can feel a diffrence in torque with my nismo diff vs his vlsd. But its all up to you, some people don't really mod the lsd cuz its expensive, so u might as well as work it out in payments with the dealer for the vlsd. I did buy aftermarket hid's, they look good enough for me and i bought the 6k's so they have a little bit of a blue'r look. Rims i switched out, although the track model rims are pretty sweet. Cruise I only use when i go to Vegas, cuz its a 3-4 hours drive, so not having it was no biggie for myself. Not having all the computer assistance is a preference, but most people who upgrade enough, eventually turn it off, but u have to have your computer programmed for off. I do wish i had the brembo brakes though, i have opted for the 370z akebono brakes for that upgrade.

But like I said, its all up to you, if the parts that are missing from the base aren't stuff u wouldn't upgrade then buy the model u want, but if u're gonna upgrade it anyways, might as well as start cheaper then move on up. Base model is pretty much the upgrade model.
