I think lambo doors suck and you should get rid of them.

This is my car.

When I was 17. - 1984 Pontiac Fiero. (Lasted two weeks due to my lack of knowledge when buying)

18- 2000 Ford Focus

19- Enlisted into the army, purchased a 2009 nissan sentra for a credit builder. Paid it off

19/20 - Deployed, purchased/ traded in for my Z. Still have not drove it. This car better be worth the hype.

Sweet, wish I got a Porsche 944 when I was 16.

Wait, I'd still enjoy a 944 if I got one now.

if you can pay for it, then you can buy it.
i remember back in high school a kid had one and daddy paid for his car.
after being outta high school for a while i own one and paid for it myself.
bragging rights!
plus I never needed daddy and mommy's money!

This argument keeps coming up and I feel like it's a cop out. You had a roof over your head from your mom and dad when you were 17 too. The guy you're referencing said he's been out of high school for a couple years so it's completely possible that he's not even living at home still, which doesn't really matter.

The point is that you appreciate what you have. I hate the 17 year old kid who had his mom/dad buy him a Z because he thought it would make him look cool riding into his high school parking lot every morning. I respect the 17-18 year old kid who's been working hard and saved up his money to buy a Z or any other car because they'll appreciate it.

I have more respect for the one's that at least will admit that without the help of their parents providing a roof over their heads that would not have been able to have saved up enough on their own for the car. There are not many 17-18 years old kids that are fortunate enough to have already landed a job that will cover a sports car and their own place, along with the bills that come along with it.

I'm unable to recall exactly who said this here, but I completely agree with it. I have more respect for the kid who is driving a Civic, while living on his own and is setting a good financial foundation for their future so that someday they can can have the nice car without spending the majority of their income on it.

The fact is, you can get a used Z for well under $10k these days, which is around what I'd expect a well equipped late model civic to go for, so what's the problem if they chose to get the Z instead? None of these kids are going out and financing a brand new $45k car. As long as they earn the money to get it, I have no problem with it. Not my business how they intend to plan their financial future. My problem is with entitled little bastards who don't appreciate what they have because mom and dad gave it to them without them even having to ask.

Sorry but yes some of you would be correct I failed to mention that my parents did provide a roof over my head I'm very thankful for that. I am also thankful that I was able to land a stable great paying job during and out of highschool.
