Default Should I trade my Z?

So I've been contemplating a trade offer I got a while ago. Just looking for some opinions I guess.

Should I trade my 2003 350Z Performance for a 1998 C5 Corvette?

My Z has very low mileage around 40K miles, while the Vette has 112K miles.

I would trade in a heart beat but the only things stopping me is the fact that the Vette is a 1998 (a little older than I would have liked) and the mileage is bit on the high side.

I assume by the 03 Z's low miles it isnt your DD, correct? How well is the Corvette kept? If I held out for a vette, I would definitely wait for a Z06 imo... also, its almost a 12 year old car, I hope the costs of upkeep dont hit you all at once

That's my concern as well. The fact that it is quite old. Plus I want the car to be drivable in winters as well and Calgary winters are pretty bad. I really doubt the Corvette is going to be any good in the winters with that kind of power to the rear wheels.

I've just been lately looking to trade the Z cause I feel like I am getting bored of it. Perhaps I should just try and keep on modding it to keep me excited into it. The Z is more or less a DD, although there are other cars that I use as well, hence the low miles.

The corvette is in decent condition from what I've been told, mechanically everything is fine and cosmetically there are some minor imperfections. Looks nice, has a lot of power. The z06 or the newer one's are obviously way more money and I am not really looking to add any cash on top of the Z, so that is obviously a problem.

Corvettes make horrible winter cars, snow tires or not. Speaking from friend's experiences hahahah.

Do you really want a 12 year old GM product w/high mileage vs. your Z?

Is the vette in Calgary? If it is, he's tried to sell or trade it on the Porsche board for a year. Don't touch it !!!

are you just wanting more speed? because the z is a lot trendier looking sports car than the C5. Plus you only have 40k and want to trade for 112k, that's crazy in itself

This is a troubling issue for you. Let me see........Paid off 03 low mileage Z that you completely know what you have or...........HIGH mileage someone elses problem.

Yeah... Tough one.

Yea, I think I am going to keep the Z for now. As much as I love Corvette's I can't justify trading my Z for a car that old and with three times the mileage. The Corvette would be a beast to drive, since it's super fast, but I just can't get over the two mentioned things. Plus the fact that we have ridiculous winters here in Calgary with tons of snow, doesn't help either. Z is still drivable if you throw some winter tires on it or something, however I really don't see the Corvette moving an inch even with the winter tires.

You do not want a Vette in the snow. You already have something great, enjoy it.

damn that was close. that would've been a big mistake if you did that trade. enjoy the Z for now and look around for better deals.

No. My general rule is that I don't trade a newer car for an older car.
