Ill be posting more later and pics....250 miles on car so far not done yet....Bad Headache and little sick from the break in chemical exhaust smell and havent slept in 2days can't stop now havent got it out of system. Bose not as bad as they say, Nav ROCKS, Frost is sweet, Handling is amazing. Car does donuts within the smallest radius I have ever seen. Girls showing ***** at me driving by....thumbs up and whip lash all around.

Sweet! Glad to hear your enjoying it. I can't wait I'm at 850 miles....looks like I will bail on the break-in at 1000 miles. We need to get a Dallas Z meeting soon! Wasn't something in the works for Sunday????

 

No flashes for me neither...hmmmm....the closest thing I've had to that level of excitement is having a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader ride in my Z.

Well, congrat!!! finally you got yours too, without delay from the original scheduled date. Better than mine.

See, I told you so about the Frost interior.

Did you notice any gliches with yours? I got an intermittent metal rattling noise in the back and the Bose subwoofer distort and buzz like crazy when the bass kick in. I have to turn the bass all the way down and moderate volume just listen to my CD. Not ready give my car back to the dealer, yet. How is your bass with the working subwoofer?

So, you're telling me that the Bose doesn't raise and lower the volume continuously even when you're not moving along with the sub going in and out?

 

Just got back again pushing 300 miles...LOL man this break in is killing me my car calls out "redline me redline me" I'm getting 19.8 mpg if babyed I get 26.8 I accidently took it to 5000rpm. my right ankle is starting to get sore but thats what cruise control is good for.

Getting low on fuel about a third or more left. BIG TANK

Im not having bose problems my sub is fine (but not tumpy high end either) not many volume probs...it has done it but so faintly I couldnt really tell... It does sound muddy at lower levels....but if you mess with the fader and the bass and the treble....I can dial it out.

Now I have had really expensive audio systems in about every car I had...SOOOO I was expecting the factory system to not be as crisp sounding as aftermarket. It needs better crossovers because there isn't clear defined notes in the music played.
I haven't heard the non touring system so i dont know if it is worse or not.

But I think all factory systems suck...thats why I always go after market. But I might live with this....unless it starts doing the same as your Z's.

Well crap the new digital camera bought (since the old one craped out) didn't come with a USB cable so no pics just yet but this cam is alot better.

FYI....the first couple of my miles my car has stunk so bad that the toxic fumes are still making me ill.

And for the meeting in Dallas Deal.....Well I plan on driving like crazy for the next few days. SO...let me put a address in the good old NAV and I'll be there.

Oh to answer your question No gliches seen yet...But then again...I havent slept and im not running on all 6 cylinders.

Want my negatives.....(these are not serious just annoying)

1. If you pull the handle on the passenger seat to get to the storage box...you push the seak back and it doesnt go all the way back into place...You gotta reach over and manually move the seat back to the normal passenger position.

2. I hope that nissan didnt pay alot for the bose system. I think that it is only worth about $800

3.The key fob to unlock the passenger door kinda messes up and i gotta keep on trying to double tap it correctly.

4.This is my first brand new car.....Is it normal to breathe this nasty smelling fumes from the car? Its finally starting to go away.
but i think i lost alot of brain cells.....darn it...i only had a couple thousand left too

5. I have troubles getting back into the right gear after I pop the stick in nuetral when the car is moving....I guess its just really tight now, I keep thinking this is a five speed ...I need to remeber there is a nice gas saving gear right below 5th.

6. Raceboy is correct the VDC does slow the car down...but it does help when just driving normal.....Its like driving with my mother...every time I start driving like a 16yr old the car stops me and says...No dont do that you may cause a accident.

Again...i havent read the manuals or gone over the car with a fine tooth comb....When I come back to my senses after some good sleep I'll look harder.

Now my car is dirty...gotts do a quick spray and whip and get it looking good for work.

Oh one more thing...The interior doesnt look cheap. The only person that can say this interior looks cheap is 350_tako and we all know this car isnt a $300,000 car.

Yes, mostly from the new interior parts and also from the exhaust system. If you park in a secure garage, you could leave the windows open for the first couple of weeks until the leaching from the interior disipates.

Less likely but possible is a leak in the fuel or exhaust system. That should be checked out immediately if suspected.

 

I believe he is refering to the chemical coating on the under hood parts that is burning off...it is normal and was gone on my car by 400 miles. I've got 875 miles right now....and no funny smells.


The cosmoline coated engines in the Z32's were a ***** to clean, I hate cleaning cosmoline off engines.

Mine has 575+ miles and it still smells a little...the first day I thought the thing was on fire!!!

I'm still on my second tank of gas too...getting a little over 20mpg..big tank indeed!

Wait a little longer after pressing the unlock button...i tend to press it twice in quick succession, and it messes up. If you press it, count to one, and press it again, it works better. I learned this with my GF's altima.

Yeah the NAV is a womans voice.....Its kinda cool that i can make her say...louder louder louder or softer softer softer....LOL
