Sorry, I'm not trying to start some kind of pissing contest or anything, but considering I just got my 2nd ticket in baby Z about an hour ago, I just was wondering on the way back.

So as the title asks, how many have you all gotten with your Z so far? This would be from the stupid rediculous tickets (ie exhaust, LED sidemarkers, etc) to the not-so-insurance-friendly reckless and "intent to kill" speeding tickets.

1st = unapproved equipment (exhaust )
2nd = 70mph in 45mph (but officer was nice, and wrote it as a normal speeding ticket, as opposed to a reckless ticket -- which it technically was )

no tickets in the Z, but i had 2 in my Ford Explorer. cop clocked me at 96 in a 45 and then i got a bs ticket that wasnt true, because physics told us it was impossible for him to clock me, but he wrote it up as 63 in a 40. got probation for both, and still no tickets on record, insurance is as good as it can get for 19yr old male outside of chicago

 

For some reason, being older helps avoid tickets. I drive like a wildman. In the last 5 years, I have been stopped 5 times (4 times by Calif. Hiway Patrol and once by LAPD), and only got a total of 1 ticket.

Only one of those stops was in my 350Z. The LAPD saw me go flying through a major intersection in the dark. He pulled me over, looked all around the car (this was before Zs were as common as they are now), looked at me, and asked "when was the last time you got a ticket?" I told him, honestly, oh about a year ago. You can only go to traffic school every 18 months in Calif. to avoid the ticket going on your record and rasing your insurance rates. Then he said "I'll bet you don't want another one. You've got a nice car, but I don't want to see you driving through an intersection like that. Now get outa here."

I have 3 other stories like that in recent years, two in my Red E36 M3, and one in my dad's Jaguar XJ-6.

Got my first one last night after driving 90 mph from Toronto back to detroit. Funny thing is I got the ticket 2 miles away from my house.

I have gotten pulled over 4 times in my Z so far for speeding and once for driving too aggressively by an unmarked car with cops dressed in regular clothes. FOr speeding, once was by NJ state popo and 3 times by local popo. Got off all five times with warnings.....MILITARY I.D. OwNs all during war time !

 

None so far... knock on wood.

 

I got one in the Z a few months ago, on the way home from an AutoX (guess I still had some adrenaline). 75+ in a 65 zone.

I've now had one ticked in each of my vehicles. '84 Nissan Pickup and '95 Ford Ranger and now the Z. Hopefully I can keep it that way, at least for another 18 months until I can go to traffic school again.

ooooh, when i first got my license i got one for unnecessary noise and squealing tires in my trooper. Then i got bagged by an unmarked mustang for weaving on the highway. I got off on both of those, first one because it was my first offense, second because my grandmother knew the magistrate. last year i got one in my maxima for 84 in a 50, and got probation before judgement. As for my Z, i got pulled over twice within 15 miles of eachother on teh way from MD to MA. New York got me going 89 in a 50 (not sure how im gonna fight this one) and then in CT for 77 in a 55...Think i would have learned. Second cop let me go, i was on my way home for the summer and had military leave papers. Also, i didint have any plates on my Z cause teh state of MD sucks.

 

Got my first one yesterday on a rather isolated (except for me and the Sheriff) county road, 74 in a 55.

 

I've been lucky so far. Never been pulled over--had a cop ask me about the car at a gas station once, but that's it.

i got three warnings in 5 months....

1st time... pulled over for speeding, he had no radar...

2nd time... at a stop light, cop at the corner tells me to slow it down around town... and no front lic. plate

3rd time... speeding and window tint was too dark... he had no radar, doin 35 in a 30... he also said he'll break out the tint meter to prove my windows were do dark... he couldnt find it... officer dumbass didnt realize i had ct plates in ny, where it happened, i was out of his jurisdiction... the scary part was... when the approach the car, they had their hands on thier guns... i had just washed my car and they had just left dunkin donuts...

 

Pulled over once... cop just wanted to check out the car... I was doing NOTHING wrong, he said he just wanted to see it (wow abuse of power assh0le)

Second time, 80 in 40 late at night, explained to the officer why my day was so bad (2yr GF moved to college that morning), he gave me a break and I went home and went to bed...
