Default New Mods NEED HELP!

Hello everyone! I just recently picked up my 2006 350z Daytona Blue 6MT and now want a sweet but decently priced exhaust. I'm looking for a nice grumble, please help I've found some but i'm just not sure also looking for a decent set of rims no more than $800-900 total.

Do the research so you will be sure. That's the only way.

for 800-900 you're probably looking at OEM wheels

Please tell me that 800-900 is just for the exhaust. There's no way your going to get both or the rims with tires for 800-900.

If you like the oem look with a nice growl and polished muffler, look into the obx cat back, and for rims if you want a mean concaved setup for that price range i would go with the OEM Rays 18x9 19x10s GT wheels. Be sure to get spacers 20mm front and 25mm rear

exhaust? Here's a few brands that most people like.

Borla
HKS
Nismo

A bit pricey, but its really "you get what you pay for"

Before starting a new thread always put on your thinking cap.

I like the "Thinking Cap"... the BEST mod you can possibly get is the Pink Slip mod... this gives you the title to your car! After you have that mod complete, look into "wasting" money on the car!

the 800-900 is just for rims, i know that an exhaust is going to run me a decent amount of money which is why im trying to find cheaper rims.

Be careful, you get what you pay for, i.e. a genuine 2 piece rim vs a rim with bolts drilled into it.

not sure if srs...

Here's a concept...buy your exhaust...WAIT...PAUSE...SAVE...buy some good, quality rims. Look at tons of pics, read reviews, do your shopping. I have no idea why you're dead set on some cheap-o wheels...like most have said about all I'd buy are OEM style...like a lightweight track edition set someone is getting rid of...but WHY? That's 800-900 you COULD be putting towards a sick set of used Volks or even new Volks? Hell, look at enkei, they're lightweight and cheaper, but are going to be a little more than 900. I'm planning to drop around $3k on wheels (and tires, MAYBE if I'm lucky). Just my .02.

Damn. I don't have that kind of cash to drop on rims, but thanks for some references. The exhaust is in the works though so it won't be long before the neighbors are complaining.

I'm just saying, you easily COULD have that kind of cash to drop on rims. Hell, think about it...you're gonna spend, what, 1000-1500ish on your exhaust? You're already half way there to 3k for wheels and tires. It's all about how well you can save. Of course everyone has their priorities. I'm always roaming the classifieds for a used set...

$800-900 can get me 2 rear tires...and maybe 1 front tire at best...

For that money you could get an exhaust, NOT good rims. Invidia is in that price range (probably $800side), the greddy single (mine and my fav, paid $6something new), used nismo (don't do it) or one of the motordyne exhausts I think.

and RENFRO where in Ohio are you??

Oh don't get fake rims, you'll need at least a grand for real ones.

< Spent $500 on final revision of custom catback. I like it and I get tons of compliments.

New Enkeis ~$1.4k
Tires ~$1k

IMO.... 06. MREV and spacer. Plus a popcharger. On a 06 there is no better bang for your buck. Remaining money...spacers for OEM wheels and a better shifter.

Save your coin until you can afford what you want. Cheap'n out on wheels will hurt cash flow in the long run.

Welcome to the world of a budget.

Hell I just use MB Battles for my wheels. Cheap, lighter than stock, wider than stock and imho look pretty good.

Thanks for the input guys, I'm gonna save for a decent exhaust(nismo, greddy, ect) then the wheels will come, (thinking sanding the stocks down and painting them black, my friend did the same with his Forester XT but he painted them purple). But i guess thats life, at least I have a Z though
