F.Y.I. I know the rims are garbage, I've been planning on replacing them. While I was out with my girlfriend all day, my 17 year old brother drives my car and does this. I guess you guys in that thread do have a point. I come home and find out about this. They decided not to tell me until I was home as to not ruin my night. The pictures are all ive seen, its currently at a body shop that owes a favor to a close family friend, however I am unable to see it until monday. I would have had it taken to DTM. Regardless, Does anybody think this is salvageable, or is it ****ed?

Yeah, he's fine. Apparently a cat decided to play chicken with him, and he decided to dodge it, which resulted in him losing control, spinning, hopping a curb and smashing a tree...I normally wouldn't believe this, but when I looked at the spot he spun, It was in the middle of a straight away, He would have no reason to be making a hard left turn in the middle of a straight away if there wasn't something there.

And I thought that I had it bad when my family decides to Tokyo Drift my Nismo and jam it into gears and scrape the lip -__- Sorry that this happened man. Usually I am not a fan of purple cars but your shade looks very nice.

Hopefully insurance will cover it. Good luck man!

Damn total heart break, my little bro is 17 and thank god he doesnt know how to drive stick. Im guessing totaled if any of the undercarriage is bent, insurance company jus like to total every car nowadays
Its ironic how today when i was driving home from work there were 2 squirrels in the middle of the road and I tried to go in the middle of them and at the last second one of them tried running and well it became one with the pavement. After hearing how many of my friends wrecked their cars dodging animals i figure forget it a squirrel isnt worth my car. i tried to veer out of the way but im not gonna swerve.

Yea definitely totaled, sorry to say.
Hopefully this is a lessoned learned for him. I saw an 18yo fresh out of high school had just crashed his own car a week before, so he borrowed his mothers range rover and was speeding around a turn in the rain, slid out and wrapped it around a tree so bad that the nose and the tail were touching, he died on impact. I was coming down the road from the opposite side and saw the whole thing. I drive by that tree everyday only thing that happened to the tree was bark got chipped off a bit, really makes me think twice about speeding in woodland areas.

Glad to hear your brother is ok, but If I were you I would hope for the total. I'm sure someone can put it all back together, but I wouldn't want to drive a car that has "been around a tree" in its past. The cost of paint won't be the biggest expense for insurance, making it straight again will be costly.

Unfortunately you're all wrong.
Not only is it not totaled... It's gonna take a while to fix.
Side hits rarely total a z. I've seen this hit alot.
You must get your car on a frame jig!
You should also hire an insurance adjuster to
Assist in your negotiation w the insurance provider.
They will try to **** you into keeping it.
Do not. Govern yourself accordingly. You've been warned.
