So I decided to do some extreme modding to my Z.

it's not too late to sue for injuries. whiplash injuries usually dont occur until a week or more after the accident.
but sucks to hear op. my san marino blue was rear ended by a hummer 3 months ago. the damage was not as severe as yours. total cost to fix was $9,700. im still going to the chiropractor as i have back injuries. i hired an attorney for the injuries and also hired a diminution adjuster for my vehicle resale loss of value.
what im trying to say is that you let the bimmer and their insurance go off way too easily. you could potentially have landed a pocketful of money.
im concerned that you may have back injuries looking at the damage.
just like yours, mine didnt look bad until the bumper was removed. also, my car flew into the car in front as well.

ended up with a cat scan of my neck confirming my pain. and then got a hefty settlement after months of chirop/doctor
edit* oh nor did i get lawyer, but did talk to a family friend (attorney) who told me what to say and how to go about it, cause I didnt have the time to devote to the whole back and forth with lawyers and ****

and I won't be going to court. if anything my lawyer will go to represent me, but that is only if the other parties insurance chooses to take the matter to court.
I didnt sustain serious injuries, but having consistent back pain for a few months and attending the chiropractic clinic in the meantime is enough to win the case over for a settlement, whether big or small.
sounds to me like you were not represented by a lawyer

It's never to late to get a attorney or sue for injury, stress, loss of work time, etc. Talk to an attorney, first consultation is free. Then decide what course of avenue is given by the attorney and you will know what to do.
