I've beaten a highly modified Z06 vette at the 1/8 mile strip (only because it was his first run ever in the car and he spun all the way down the track). His next pass beat my best time by almost a second.

I lost to a highly modified mazdaspeed 3 sleeper. Never seen it coming

I didn't know he had an LS1 swap
00+ silverados have LM7's stock, which is better than an ls1. soo...maybe you mean a built lm7. the motor can handle more boost than anything ive ever seen.

an acura club of like 20 integras and rsxs crapped them selves one at a time as i drove by each one of them in my 73 camaro at the same spot that the orange supra in F&F beat the ferrari on the way to neptunes net where they ate shrimp(i worked there). they were scarred to even look over. not even acura owners are dilusional enough to think they can beat an lt1 camaro. let alone one with a fiberglass front clip and full pin on carbon hood, im pretty sure they just saw my carbon trunk and lack of taillights. its a work in progress but NOTHING will race it not even a ferarri pal.

In some people's minds I guess......

I'm anti-LT1 from the day I had to replace the distributor in one. Who in their right mind would put the distributor right under the weep hole for the water pump? Poor engineering at it's finest.

Lost to a newer Porsche Carerra from a stop light the other day, but only because I grinded 2nd and lost several seconds, dammit! Probably would have been dead even if not, our cars are very evenly matched 0-60.

ya. pch hw1 in malibu. and the infamous mulholland canyon connects to it.

and lt1s are 300-350 hp stock which is the same as an ls1 and lm7. lt1 is basically a carburated version of an ls1. the lt1 will make the most power for the least money. im building mine for 2 100 shots of nos. nothing like push button power!

you must be talking about a gen2 or higher lt1. the gen1 carburated model is probably the easiest engine in the world to work on. i replaced my distributer and timed the car in 15 minutes. ford is the one with the distributer in the front and the water pump hose right next to it.
