For the most part, only other Z heads will notice me. BMW owners take notice a lot too. But when you are next to a ricer, they either dont acknowledge you or notice you and try to race or some ****.

might just be the fact that it's a 2 seater, I'm used to rear seats so it feels like people are riding my bumper all the time. closest I had to a 2 seater was my rx-8.

I'm not sure about any of your other "problems" but I have definitely had ppl who drive ricers have the huge need to "prove themselves" when they're near me. I don't mean like pull up and ask to race. Just overtake me and floor it while i'm already going over the limit.

Oddly enough, I noticed the same thing except for the cute chick in a Mustang thing. I've had a few attractive women approach me and (young and...older) ask questions about the car, but nothing more. I figured the folks that were tailgating or following closely beside my left rear were doing so to get a better look at what kind of car it was. I have the FairLady Z emblem over a polished Daytona Blue. Oh, people often ask about that. It's usually "Fair lady Z, huh? I never heard of that car..."
And then I explain the story behind that. I don't mind either. It's an icebreaker of sorts.
I have to admit, though, after a thorough wash and detail (I do it myself), the car attracts a lot of attention. There is such a thing as a chick magnet...
