Cen. TX owners: Hill Country Weekend Drive 10/12-10/13
We recently had a great initial meeting of Austin S2000, 350Z, and other sports car owners, proving that despite the trolls we can all get along. 
I'd like to invite y'all to join us on a Hill Country weekend drive next month over the best roads in TX. If you're interested, go here for details:

Damn!!!! My car's not due 'til November. This waiting is killing me. Dying to hit Devil's Backbone and River Road in New Braunfels, among others.
In the meantime, my company is about to go through a round of layoffs in my department. If I get cut, I probably won't even be able to get the Z.

Your killing me here. I am going to be out of town that weekend and my plans can't be changed (read: non-refundable tickets
) I was really excited about the idea when I you first brought it up...even though I would be taking the slow man's route

My windows have been tinted since I bought my car. If you're talking about Stonguard or a similar car, I already have too many chips to make it worthwhile.

Bummer that yours won't get here until November. I just got off the phone w/Ingram Park and mine is due o/a 2 Oct. Finally.
Who is your friend that does the 3M install? I'm definitely getting it for those rare occasions I take my new baby on IH-35...

2 Oct? Is this listed as Oct 02 on the expected delivery? If so, that just referring to Oct 2002, not the 2nd of Oct. I have seen a lot of people posting that their cars were being delivered Oct 2. This was brought up when the first delivery dates started showing up and someone (ZISME or RxO??) explained it.
I just wish I had a VIN for my car that is supposedly coming in Oct.

That's cool, herkp. I was just trying to keep you from getting to excited if the dealer screwed up reading the dates. When you get your Z, you will have to come up for one of our meets.
PM me if you want me to add you to the mailing list I am compiling to make it easier to get the word out of meets planned or impromptu get togethers.
You should definitely try to make ChrisS's Hill Country trip. After talking with the S2K guys and gals, it sounds like he is pretty darn good at those trips.

I wouly love to attend. I only have to see what the Army has planned for me. Also, I was wondering if any of the Austin 350z owners would want to get together the week prior on the 5th of OCT to join me at my promotion party to show off our cars. I buy the food and drink. So bring a DD or just stop by to say hello. It will be held at the Copper Tank on 5th.(pretty sure) If the venue changes (doing a recon this Sat.), I will keep you informed.

For those who are thinking about this trip, I guarantee you'll be blown away by some of the roads and scenery on this route...
JUST A REMINDER/WARNING...
It's a good idea to make reservations out there ASAP. Rooms are limited in the area as it is, and that time of year the town will sell out (at least one place already has). Even if you're not sure about going, I'd make a room reservation now...I'd hate to see some folks miss out b/c they waited too late to book a room.

The best (possibly only) installer in the central texas area or southwest states for that matter is Reflex Enterprises in San Antonio. (www.xpel.com) This is the place that made the template for 3M nationwide. They train people from all over on the installation of this product and do an AWESOME job. Call Rege Brunner at 210.342.7114. They did my Z last week and it looks GREAT! Let me know if you want pics or more info.

I already responded to your post in the other thread regarding your promotion party. It will be great to congratulate you in person, plus having the CenTex 350Z meets in the same time. I'll pass your invitation to other Austin 350Z folks that I met so far.
In paralell, you may want to start a separate thread with your invitation. That will catch more local Austin folks.
