Wait time for confirmation letter?

Wait time for confirmation letter?
I ordered my Z on August 9th and my dealer told me Otober/November delivery. I thought I was supposed to get a confirmation letter from NIssan making sure that they got the order. Does anybody know if this is true and about how long it should take?

Sorry dude, but your dealer is feeding you a load of crap. Pre- orders ended back in June. All the dealers can do now is place a regular order. You won't get a confirmation letter, as far as I know, and your car won't get here until at least December. A better alternative is to search the inventory lists at nissandriven.com and try to find a pre- order car that was turned down.

Think it should be about a month, that's how long mine took. I'm not sure if they even send out confirmations since the pre-order program is over.
Any one know if you get confirmations with regular ordered vehicles?
You might wanna take JDZ advice and find a pre-order someone bailed out on.

Confirmation Letters
The confirmation letters were sent to consumers who ordered during the pre-sell period and whose orders were included in dealers official pre-sell allocation quantities. The official pre-sell program ended in mid-June and orders taken after that will not receive a confirmation letter.
