Why me :(
So on Friday, I won that sweet Momentum Y pipe and got excited about installing it and on Saturday this happens...
Long story kind of short, I'm driving on the right side. It's like 11 pm at night and it's me and this one other car with 4 or so drunk people in it (I knew they were drunk because of the way they acted after pulling down their window). A couple lights later, they hit the very corner of my car (left front side) and that pushes my car out of control, than I swerve to the right, than left and almost hit the center of their car, but they had 4 people in it, so I managed to dodge it and ended up climbing a sidewalk and destroyed that sign like it has never been destroyed before...
Well, they were gone. I had a buddy with me and we don't have a scratch on us thankfully.
I managed to park the car at the lot and called el cops. He said he looks at these skid marks and stuff and can tell a lot by studying them and he said we were very lucky we didn't flip. The guys are gone and not found and I got full coverage.
I should get an estimate today, BUT here comes the even shittier part... I was trying to sell my car! So plan A is to let my body shop friend to buy it as is from me if I get enough money from insurance, or plan B (which I don't want to deal with) is repairing it and trying to sell it.
I was wondering if you guys think there is unseen damage with under the car, or with going up the sidewalk diagonally at like 40 - 45 mph.

i would go with selling to your buddy... even if you fix it and its in good shape if the carfax isnt clean people are gonna use that to there advantage on the price.. if you can even find somone to buy it with salvage/damaged or incidents reported on the carfax.
Or you could of had it all fixed without reporting to your insurance... that way it'd of never been known and sold away lol.

Lots of suspension and front end work, steering rack, all kinds of crap you wouldn't see is probably toast. I tapped a deer once and had what looked like way less damage than yours (and zero suspension damage) ended up at 6k. Your hood still lines up, that's a good sign.

Thats Y its best to just pull ahead of A-wipes like that. Sure there is always a chance of getting a ticket, but maybe the cop would be sympathetic if you told him there were some rowdy drunk kids in a civic, and you just wanted to put some distance between them.

Think I would get it fixed IF the insurance company says it won't reflect on your rates. Better to find out ahead of time how much damage there is than to take a larger loss due to the "unknown".

How much do you think I can grab a NISMO for in cash? The fact that I'm buying in winter will help probably since selling a RWD in winter sucks ***. I'd be willing to go anywhere in USA to pick it up.

You probably missed what I said in the first part... Before I got into the accedent, I was ALREADY trying to sell it. Yeah it's nothing major from the looks of it, but I was already thinking of upgrading to HR. This is an 03.
