NEW TO 350z.. CHEAPEST/BEST LOOKING APPREANCE MODS.
Sorry OP asking a question like that around here is a big no-no. Im new here as well and a lot of people are are...elitists. If you're not using a 2000.00 exhaust or running 3k in wheels and tires, you're a newb. Im not a kid but an adult on a budget and I cant afford a lot of the stuff that Id love to do,but I wouldnt even think about asking a question that would get me flamed...
Go ahead and ask a question about eBay exhaust....I dare ya'!!

I'm rather new around here, but I haven't gotten an "elitist" feel from these forums. In fact, I love the classy options of a majority of members on here. The truth of the matter is that modding true sports cars like the 350z is an expensive proposition
Nissan spent millions of dollars developing this automobile. Performance, reliability, safety and visual appearance where all priorities. I'm all for customization, but if said part or mod is not an improvement on what was present from the factory, then you are a ricer. Improving on factory in this car is not cheap.
My advise is to take it slow, save up, and remember, the most cost-effective mod is spending more time in the drivers seat on a track or autocross.

The Z looks nice the way it is, why would you try to mess with perfection? Save up money for some nice wheels, coil overs, one of the short deck factory spoilers (if you don't already have one), and get the newer led taillights from the 06 and up and the newer headlights 06 and up and you'll still have a classy civilized tastefully modded looking car at the end of the day. You can also do something with the roof to make it look carbon fiber like the 380rs in japan or like the E90 series BMW M3. Welcome to the community by the way and I apologize for some of the rude people your going to meet on this forum. Oh yeah, a shorty antenna or no antenna at all would be a cheap mod, I hate the stock one it makes it look like a freaking RC car.

Take the Z, Sell it to someone who has better taste than yourself, as to save the car from becoming a new tree sweater.
Buy a Zastava 311 or a Yugo, and make it herraflush, you'll have cash from the sale to mod those.

"If you aren't running brand name items that together could have bought you a brand new 370 than you are a ricer and will be flamed."
had to double post after seeing this one. The value of it was going to ruin my comedy above lol.
Dude, well put and dead on.

After 24 hours and you want to change how the car looks? Living up in Michigan i've actually only seen 3 other 350z ever, so every time i drive it i feel unique i wouldn't change a thing about it. Granted i would put new wheels and a borla exhaust on it but those are pricey mods and i cant afford them right now. If you must change your z i would suggest some DIY mods your going to save a lot of money and can still get the same quality but you have to know a thing or two and be willing to put in the hours. My caviler which is my daily driver i painted myself using a cheap but effective spray gun it was cheap and i got decent results but the hours of sanding and bondo and coat after coat made it a real pain. Basically quality has it's cost's whether its money or man hours.

This is the reason I love this forum so much, Mod's capping on users.

I'm barely running brand names and so far what I did to my car is already more than what I paid for the car, and I want/need more... So you're statement isn't accurate, here is the fixed version

Sounds like a bunch of users who cant afford the cars they bought.
If you were going to rob a bank or something plasti dippin your entire car to a different color and then peeling it off when your done would be a good idea too. Then you could use the money you stole to buy some real upgrades.
