New Z owner - what kind of body kit should I get?
OK, I'm just kidding about that. I saw you guys torch some other poor guy recently and it was so brutal that I would be surprised if he ever logged in again.
Anyways, I was surprised to read the other day that most of the Z owners are in their 20s. A few teens, and even fewer 30s and 40s. I am a little embarrassed now because of my age.
So, at about what age do you guys think to yourself, "Man, that guy is too old to be cruising around in a Z?" The reason I ask is because I am 53 years old and I need to know if I should avoid eye contact with another Z owner if I see him/her out and about. I could pretend that I am fiddling around with my 8-track player or something.
Thanks, Eddy

I'm 55, have the '08 Z coupe and 3 other sports cars (all Italian roadsters), and those are the sorts of cars I'll be driving until I die. Nothing with 4 doors or more than 2 seats ever, and always at least a few convertibles to choose from. Drive what you enjoy, and care not what others think.
No slam against the youngsters, but I learned to drive when the definition of a sports car was a car with nothing on it which wasn't there to make it go faster. The Z is like a Lincoln Town car to me, but I confess I do enjoy the A/C, satellite radio, GPS, reliability, and extra safety it affords over the other "classics" in my driveway.

You are just a youngin. I'll be 70 in November and have been driving sports cars all my life. Well other than about 15 years when I had to have four door cars for the kids. There is nothing to be concerned people will think you are too old to drive the Z.

70??? Well congrats on making it to 69 and rolling in a Z. I'm more impressed that you're almost 70 and your online using the forums. Most 70 yr olds don't even know what a computer is HAHA!
OP i'm 35 and I don't even own a 350z yet, but when I do I would be more than happy to waive, flash lights to you or anyone that's a proud Z owner!!

Christ, I about shat a turtle when I read this title. Was fully prepared to spawn hell fire on you. Lmao Good joke though. I'm 27 owned 2 350s for the past 8 years. I get thrilled when I see older fellows with Zs. It's a breathe of fresh air from the new 19 year old herraflush scene.

I know Z owners of all ages, some as old as 70 and it doesn't make a difference since we're all enthusiasts
In SoCal especially you will see owners of all years totally getting along so this is more your own insecurity OP than actual opinions

As I mentioned in my previous post I'm 35 and I'm in the market for a 350z since my 300zx got destroyed by a hail storm two years ago. I've moved on from that ride since then. But what in the hell is "herraflush scene"?

"Herraflush scene" is basically referring to the group of ppl who have their cars lowered so far the car is practically scraping the ground, and their wheels have some ridiculous offests such as -10(example) where the wheels are cambered out so far only the inside of the tire is actually in contact with the road and so the top of the tire will slide into the fender, while the fenders are usually rolled and pulled. And/Or when the wheels extend out to the edge or a little past the fenders.
Completely impacital you say? Yes
But... although the scene is not for me, I really respect the workmanship that goes into some of the guys cars.
Please correct me if I am wrong, I am not very familiar with this myself.

Hellaflush is a scene deriving mostly from the hondas (I will catch hell fire for this but let's be realistic: it's also derived from the Latino-american influences) and, because of the ever depreciating value of the 350z, has unfortunately made it's way into our platform. Because the 350z is more obtainable, former honda owners are now buying up the Zs. "Hellaflush" is basically slamming a car and causing the rim to be "flush" with the fender. Tires are also stretched in order for this to happen. Also to obtain this flushness, camber, or as I like to call it hellacamber, usually is implemented.
