Unhappy Rsoles on the streets

I went into town today to visit the dentist to have work done and couldn't park in the dentists car park due to roadworks so ended up parking the car about 250yards around the corner. I was in the Dentist for an hour and upon my return noticed that some idiot had taken the time and trouble to scratch the nearside rear over the wheelarch causing a deep scratch about a foot long. I was furious cos, if my Zed wasn't Daytona Blue but silver it wouldn't have been half as noticeable. The scratch has gone through the clearcoat, colour and stopped at the white primer and as a result stuck out like a sore thumb. I'm only hoping that one of those scratch repair guys can sort it otherwise i'm looking at the whole of the rear quarter being repainted. Has any one else suffered at the hands of these ****** and got any better ideas of repair??

Had some kids start drawing on my 06 black Z with rocks last year. I called up my brother who has fixed things like that before with just scratch repair paint you can get from an auto shop like o'relly's or autozone. He fixed them while I went on my honeymoon in August. Really happy with the results. Here's the before and after pics

That looks pretty rad for a paint repair kit, I wasn't aware they worked so well. I had a similar thing happen to my black Z that happened to op so I might just try that out..

Yeah. It worked like a charm. There's a video on how to do it on Youtube somewhere. Pretty easy. Those photos are only of 2 of the 8 that I had as well. When you go to the Auto parts store, they have a reference book so you get the correct color match. Black is going to be obviously easier than Daytona Blue.

When I opened this thread, I assumed it would be about the op driving around with R compound tires on the street.

Took me longer than I would like to admit. In response to OP, that sucks and I hope you can get it sorted out!
