Default How many Years/Miles do you expect from your Nissan Z?

I’m surprised at the durability, operational length, and economy of the Nissan 350z.

I have a 2003 redline Performance 350Z that runs in 2013 as the day it was new in 2003. I find this remarkable since I have owned many cars during the last 40+ years, but none as reliable as the 350Z (and this is a sport car from which you expect performance).

The Nissan Z is amazing for its long term reliability considering this is a performance car.

Till the wheels fall off. No idea, have an 05 Sentra DD with 151k. The Sentra is my first Nissan, but I have high hopes for the Z. Especially since I baby this thing.

well they did say they wanted a 200k mile car well here it is . as long as you take care of it as if it was your own it will last.

I'm only at 80k right now but expecting up to 150k at least. It'll probably get an ls swap shortly before 150k for a track/play car anyways so no worries

I agree,if maintained properly,a 350Z has a great "shelf life".
I too am a old timer.Bought my 03 Touring new.After 10 years,87k
miles,it runs better than new. With the mods I've done to the engine,
the power conservatively is over a HR.Furthermore, just don't understand
the logic of every 3,000 mi oil changes, boutique synthetic oils etc.
I run a semi-synthetic(Valvoline)in all my vehicles.My Z has 6,000 mi
oil chages.I use only Nissan filters.Of course,if you cowboy your Z
in the long run, those constant revs at red line will bite you in the butt.
No reason why a Z cannot be going strong over 200k miles.

I have 59k miles on my 04. But, it blew up about a year ago. After 15k hard driven boosted miles. It should be back on the streets in a couple months with more power than ever. I would honestly be excited if my new built motor made it 50k miles. You gotta pay to play.

When the 350z was in the design process the brief for the DE engine was that it would cover 200,000 miles. Although if the engine was well looked after with regular oil changes it would cover more than that as proved by engines on this site where owners have covered 250,000 or more miles, which goes to prove that the DE is a pretty reliable lump if well looked after.

Well I just got my 05 with 58k on it. It seems to be in great shape and I plan on taking care of her and it's not my DD so I'm hoping to have it for a very long time.

all depends on how you drive it, what you put on it (or in it), and how you maintain it. but generally speaking you should push wayyyy past 120k

I want 200-225k and I will be plenty happy. Currently at 102k and probably trade it in before 200k. I think the car should hit 200k easily as that is a minimum for all cars made in the last 10 years.

I rarely drive my 05 but I have 60K and some change mileage. If I keep it, it will be a future project car worked on by my kids and I. I hope the car can stay together till I get to that point.

I'll probably keep it for a while. I bought an '03 new and sold it in '06. Missed it so much I bought an HR when they came out in '07. I've got relatively low miles ( 17k ) and don't drive it alot, but I do drive it hard with well over 600 hp at the wheels. Hoping it'll last a few years before it needs a rebuild.

Honestly, I want 250-300K out of the Z before I have to rebuild, I have an 08 with 99K on her and been using synthetic oil since 24K.I also get the fluids changed out regularly and treat her well. She is my DD and I do 32K a year in mileage.I have no worries with the VQ.I am gearing up for the 105K service here shortly.

She still runs as great as she did when I get her at 24K,I honestly cannot see myself in another car until I reach the ten year mark with the Z.
