Default 350z 2+2

No I dont mean the G35 Coupe, I just read in another thread from Jman Z that if sale's continue like this there will be some big suprises ahead from Nissan....could a 350Z 2+2 be one of them....I want a 350 Z sooo bad but need a one with 2+2 , I love the styling of the new Z, but am not that excited about the Inifiniti coupe G35.

If Nissan comes out with a FI version I will be very upset. Supercharged... okay - twinturbo - not okay.

Nissan said all along blah blah blah... u know the words.

3rdpower,

You can count on Nissan bringing out more powerful version in later year. That is just Product Development 101. Nothing new. FI is just one way to achieve that.

Is there any way to convert a N/A to a turbo by just buying Nissan's kit assuming they release a turbo version as pictured above?
That's a turbo 2.5 from the Stagea vehicle. I guess the translation states that due to some crazy piping the single turbo has some considerable lag. But it shows that it's possible. =) For the most part it looks like the Z's engine bay though.

If Nissan is dumb enough to bone all the first year buyers by bringing out a faster Z within less than 2 years, then I will sell my Z and boycott Nissan. Chevy did that with the Z06 going from the 385hp versions to 405hp versions just a year later. This enraged all the first year buyers as their resale value plummeted. I waited 7 months for this car and I'll be damned if some fool doesn't wait at all and gets a better car.

Do I really think it will happen?? Highly unlikely. The current Z is nearly as fast as an R34 V Spec Skyline. A faster Z would come too close to the new Skyline so why would Nissan build 2 cars that compete with each other?? Doesn't make any marketing sense whatsoever. The rumors that people keep hearing are based on sightings of test mules that are part of the new GTR development program and have nothing to do with actual production Z's.

If Nissan waits more than 2 years then that is cool. That is about as long as I can manage to keep a car!!

I don't know whether it'll be in the next two years, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Nissan introduce a faster Z to compete head-to-head with the rumored V8 Supra and possible RX-7...

I don't remember if I posted this here or on another board but I don't believe we'll ever see a FI version of the 350Z from Nissan. The Z is going back to it's roots rather than being the upper class sports car of Nissan. Nissan already will have a good spread.

Nissan 350Z - Affordable Sports
350Z Conv. - Roadster
G35 Coupe - Luxury Cruiser/Sports Coupe
GTR - High-range sports car

They cover all bases without loosing too much money. =)

Yeah, it's called the Skyline GTR and it will cost about $80,000.

I just want FI.... Period... I don't care what it is, as long as it gives some substantial HP gains.... That's what I want from Nissan........

Chris, have you driven your Z ***** out 0 to redline? Mine isn't broken in yet and my wife is yelling at me to slow down when I goosed it from 20 to 40mph with 1/2 throttle. This a very powerful and deceptively fast car. I will tell you my feelings about Turbos after breakin. Right now, I can pass on any T addition until I can drive what I've got all out. Patience.............
