Thinking of selling her.. HELP!
TO SELL?? OR NOT TO SELL???
Hello, I am a proud original owner of a 2007 350z,
with only 28,xxx miles on the odometer.
I just recently paid her off.. the interest rate kicked my *** and I spent more than the sticker price in the long run.
heres the problem..
I am moving out of the country on a 2 year contract job.. so I've put her up for sale.
I hate that the car will be sitting there while I am gone plus I need money to buy a car when I move. But it kills me that I am losing thousands on a car I only put 28,000 miles on.
Sell for ******** negotiated "kbb is 16,600" pricing? should I just keep her and bang on miles when I am back home?
I know ultimately I will make my own decision but I truly trust and respect this forum community's opinion. I know this sounds like a dumb question to some but keep in mind I also need money for a car when I arrive to the location of my new job.
thanks in advance.

I also be ****ed over when financing, I figure you paid for it so why not enjoy it when you come back.
The Z is a wonderful car that will always be fun to drive. It sucks how the market is, trust me I got some lowball offers. But 17.5K from a person who will give you cash is pretty good. Now that the 370Z is out and has been for a bit our cars are worth less.
It's got the HR motor and very low miles; but you will be gone for 2 years. I would sell it simply because it will sit for 2 years and just lose value. If it sits for that long well it's not good for the vehicle.

I will be leaving her with my cousin who will start her up every month and be kept in his garage.

Keep it, it's paid off. If you sell you lose a big chunk of change and when you get back you won't have that $30K+ car you paid for. Starting over sucks, buy a cheap daily driver there (it's only 2 years) and sell it once you know you're coming back. Then you have your near new Z still available here.

Honestly, 28k miles, 07' - good car. It depends if you suspect depreciation will lower the price of the vehicle substantially to where you will be able to buy a similar used one for less than 16k in two years when you return. I would consider what you know now about Z's, and what you'd want to do to yours, evaluating if it would be cheaper to buy one with those mods already done to it in the future.
I would price it at 18k, **** KBB. KBB is mostly for cheapskates that try to lowball people. It's just an estimated price, your car may be worth more or less to an actual buyer who may appreciate how well kept it is vs other used Z's with similar year/mileage/mods.

Why don't you sell it, by a beater when you start your new job and save as much money as you possibly can so that when you return you'll have enough cash to buy either a '09 or 370 if you have the cash and then you don't have to worry about getting ripped off on finance and you're in a far better position to bargain cos you have cash in hand?
