Buying a Rebuilt 350z
Hey guys, I'm new here so hello to everyone.
I'm looking into buying a friends 2004 350z that is rebuilt title and has 94k miles. It's running fine and appears to have no issues.
he says all he had to fix was the fenders, and radiator support.
here are some pictures from the auction, where he bought it from

Here's a picture of the car as it is now. (And those god awful tail/head lights, Cubans like to do that down here)

I drive a rebuilt (Its classified as a rebuilt title, not a salvage here in Florida) title 04 enthusiast with 80,000 miles that drives like new. If you know what kind of accident it was in, there's no frame damage, and everything appears straight then a rebuilt isn't necessarily a bad thing.
If you're buying this as a DD, do it the right way and buy something that hasn't been trashed. Don't cut corners and pinch pennies and eat from the bottom of the bucket. If you can't afford a Z, you can't afford a Z. You never know what kind of alignment issues and whatnot that thing will have down the road. $6500 is asking too much.
That being said, if you're buying this strictly as a drift/autoX/track car that's just going to be thrashed, go for it if everything checks out. Have someone who specializes in body work look it over and check out the frame. The untrained eye won't always catch the small things.
But like I said, if this is going to be a daily driven car and you just want a sweet deal without having to pay for one that hasn't been trashed, you're going to have a bad time. Can it be done? Certainly. Have I seen it go wrong? Hundreds of times. And insuring a high mileage salvage title can be a ***** too.

i bought a rebuilt 2006 350z with 66k miles on it. im 20 years old and it was my 1st car i bought. i didnt look it over right and the car had some problems. compressor leak, bad brakes, thermostat senor, factory rims that were cracked and welded back ( almost costed me my life ), i just installed my D2 coilovers and found out i had 3 Oem shocks 1 aftermarket. my car runs great now but now that i know more about the 350z i can tell it was put together with different 350z parts. Goodluck
