There is a slight high pitched static sound coming from the speakers. It does not matter is the Radio is on or off. It's not too
loud but you can hear it when the radio is off.

I've had this issue since I bought the car back in Oct 03 and have been avoiding going to the Dealer. It doesnt bother me too much but I'd like to correct it.

Now that I am getting ready for an oil change I guess I am gonna let the dealer fix it, Not happy to let the dealer touch the car.

Sounds like something may not be grounded correctly.

Any ideas what it is ?

My girlfriend is having the same problem with her brand new Tiburon. It might be a grounding problem.

check w/ the dealer , maybe its a defective radio amplifier

same here, couldn't figure out what was wrong, i haven't taken it to the dealer to get it fixed though. If you DO take it, let me know what was wrong.
