Default My new Z almost cuts out at around 4500 rpm?

Ok, now that it is broke in, every now and again as I cross 4300-4500 the SLIP light comes on and the engines lets off pretty quick. I am getting good traction. I cant figure it out and it only happens about 1 out of every 4 times. Anyone have any ideas??
.

if you're on the stock summer tires, they are absolutely horrible in cold weather. that is perfectly normal, drive in warmer weather and you will be fine.

rev limiter? You can't set the rev limiter on the Z, only the "shift light" on the tach.

Anyway, are you getting on it hard when this happens? Or are you just driving and shifting normally? If you're really stepping on it, then it very well might be that your rear is breaking loose, if not, then I'd get over to Nissan and have them check out the TC.

Try slowly and smoothly revving up to 5K...if it happens when you do it lightly you should have the dealer check it out

also try it in neutral...if it happens in neutral you def hav a problem

Oh well.... thought you could adjust it. Never messed with that feature.

Rev limiter (the one I adjust) is turned up. I was under the understanding that, the adjustment just flashed the light and would not affect engine.

if SLIP goes on, the ECU will stall your acceleration till you gain traction. That's normal.

turn the VDC OFF so that it won't cut your fuel!!!
yeah, cold tire/weather could cause that~
or, try to shift smoother, they help

yeah, just turn it off and see what happens. I can tell when traction is going, you can feel the back tires kinda wander a bit, even before the VDC kicks in.
