Default hypertech max energy programmer?

anyone know if this unit is worth buying? does it help a car with light mods ?

First let me ask have you looked into anything on tuning a 350z?

No do not waste your money on this piece of ****. It does not change fuel/air ratio all it does is take off the governor and makes the engine a little bit more responsive. Save money to get a tune on dyno.

yes, I have . I read the post here that hypertech has, not much info there. there is a cobb access port for sale .it is my understanding that at some point I wiill need one as I install more mods. and a tune. problem is I know of no one in my area that can do a tune. montgomery ,al thank you

Honestly if you had truly searched for tuning options you would've found that the Osiris Standard is exactly what you are looking for (can be found here: http://uprev.com/secure/osiris-standard-247.html)

Since you stated that you will only be lightly modding your Z and have no access to a reputable tuner in your area, this would be the perfect option.

Next time you want to search something on the forums, try the search function underneath the larger search bar where you can choose to search posts, not simply threads. Makes it easier to find what you're looking for IMO
