Default New owner help

Hey guys,
I have been a subi owner my whole life and just bought my first rear wheel- I know the manual tranny can't take much off the line, but the z seems to handle it well. What do I need to look for or watch out for in a manual transmission 03 track z with 110k on it?
Thanks!

It all depends on how it's been driven. If driven hard for all those miles expect a synchro or two to go or the clutch.

The synchro's between 5th and 6th seem to a problem for some owners yet not for others.

3rd gear grinds with a lot of them. But like he said, it's all about how it was treated before. I'm getting close to 140k and mine is fine. Like your user name btw

Check the trans and see if an updated trans was installed under warranty.

^^^ Had a friend with a 95 maxima, original auto tran., original motor, ran for 257k till he wrecked it into a curb. He gave that thing absolute hell... Hell as in revving it in N and bumping into Drive HELL. He needed front tires every 2 months. I believe that car didn't even use any oil.

for an 03, 110k is actually under miles. normal mileage would be at 120k (12k/year x 10 years).
