I'll vouch for the beauty!! I lucked out last fall, when a dealer in Maine had a Track Brick sitting in the showroom for 29,900!! It was meant to be.... The poor thing sat at the dealership for nearly 8 months till she went home with me in October.

How would you know what number Brickyard Red Z you have? I'm thinking it's on the VIN.

Being an owner of the other exclusive color....might I say brickyard was the reason I wanted a Z.....sweet color guys....BIG THUMBS UP!!!!!
But basically Liquid Aluminum is the only silver...and like brickyard...when clean and in the right light people just can't help but gawk!!!!

I'm color blind ok? I saw a Z Coupe awhile back that looked like what I would call a "Rootbeer" or metallic brown. I liked it! Is that it? Nice color to me, but what do I know? That's why I chose chrome silver. It's easy for me to see.

True but its nice not to have to spend the $4000 to $7000 to get a custom color.

I'd have to agree...when I was shopping around for my Z, I was very interested in BrickYard; however, I couldn't track down an actual car that was painted in that color. All I had to go on was the color swatches at the dealership, and I didn't want to make the decision based on that alone, in case the color turned out to awesome on the swatch, but fugly on the vehicle.

Sorry, but if you are calling Brickyard, "maroon" then you are not a fine connoisseur of the fine color!

Hey Duck. Remember these?

The first are the now infamous "metal tubes" that Nissan gave us preorder folks to pick our color. That was it.

The second is the very first "Brick Pic taken" by Scaf on one of his famous "spy runs"

The third was the original car icon on the Nissan preorder site. The only indication of what Brickyard would look like to us preorderers.

bwahahaha... yeah, I remember 2 of those, Bonz... what a joke.

Actually, I didn't even have the "pipe" when I preordered. I had to do it off the color chit in the back of the Z brochure... which, in fact, looked more like a metallic black with a hint of red, then Brickyard. I ultimately ordered BY because the Nissan dealer I bought from did a search for me and found that no one else in the greater Charlotte area had preordered that color (out of 60 or so pre-orders across 5 dealerships).

The website pic never looked quite right. The best images early were the Scafremon spy pics... I still have all them saved on my harddrive!

BTW, did we ever get an "official count" for Brickyard production. I don't know if the 2404 was ever actually confirmed. Also, I know quite a few Bricks that have been lost do to accidents.... hmm... may have to find me another one to tuck in the back of my garage.

IMO SS and white look the best on a z.

Who cares what you think?! This is a Brickyard thread!!!

J/K... I think all the factory colors look good on the Z. Everyone has their favorites. Of course mine is BY, but I also really like the DB and SS.

You guys who bought sight unseen are my heros; I probably would not have done that.

I drove about a 100 miles to see a Brick before buying. One of best trips ever!

The only thing I ever saw BEFORE I ordered was the little car icon pic on the Nissan web site. I didn't see the metal pipe thing until after I ordered. When I finally saw Scaf's pics I knew I made the right decision.

If I could have gotten BY on a new Z I would have probably gotten it. But since I didn't want a used car, I went with PPW.
