No recalls for 2004's, but the 2003's had a recall for an engine sensor problem. See the link to Nissan'a site in the above post.

Come to think of it I never received the recall. I do remember the news announcement in the summer. Maybe it was just for certain build dates ?

recalls I believe are required by law to have notices sent out. so nissan doesnt have a choice.

TSBs they dont have to send out. Im not even sure that TSBs are meant for public viewing, more of a list of common problems and proper resolutions for mechanics to use. the internet lets us use them as though they are recalls though.

the only one as was said is for an engine sensor on 2003. from what I saw it included about 100 350Zs in all. mostly it pertained to other vehicles with the VQ engine.

be that as it may, it's also illegal for nissan not to inform it's consumers about a defect that could potentially cause "serious injury or death" (i belive that's how nissan described the engine soldering problem). it's cheaper for them to fix the problems rather than pay a mulit-million dollar settlement to a family who sues b/c their kid died in a wreck b/c of a problem that nissan was aware of.

now, having the recall and fixing the problem...you'd have to look into the law about what constitues as proper notice. *shrugs*

and nissan dealers never heard of TSB pulling to the right either

i ve to get the TSB steering to the right from this forum for them to replace the compression rod

4 times to nissan dealers , car still pull to the right

my next step is to BBB auto on line to sue nissan

it's the dealer not nissan.get names of dealers from members ,this forum that got it fixed & have the dealer call them to get the right fix info.

What is the build date on your Z? It was not a 350z specific recall.

Under the Nissan USA website put your car info in (2003 350Z) and check for recalls. It will show the engine sensor in question and also the affected VIN#'s. Mine is an 03 but my VIN# does not fall into the scope of the recall (was built after), to which I never got a notice in the mail either. Just for kicks, my build date is 5/03.

I checked my 03 and it falls in the range listed on the website, yet I never got any notice from nissan, and when I checked witht he dealer, he said his printout for my vin indicates there is no recall. Is this possible? I thought automatically if your in that range listed, you are part of the recall. Did anyone have a similiar situation as me?

THanks...
