Default NO VDC and TCS off trims?!

um can someone clear something for me? i thought the BASE model does not have TCS or VDC but iono i read somthing and im confused. can someone just list which models have TCS and VDC? thanks
FOr example:
Base : VDC or TCS
Enthus: VDC or TCS
Performance: VDC or TCS
Touring AT/MT : VDC or TCS
Track: VDC or TCS

and one more thing.. what EXACTLY does VDC do? and TCS? i know they're "vehicle dynamics control and VDC sort of brakes the wheels when your in trouble and stuff... but what about wen racing someone or launching and stuff?
also TCS too thanks....

btw, i live in CA so it never snows here so i would like your opinion on if i reallly need that or not. im thinking BASE model but if i can get an Enthusiast model for about $26,000 or so then i'll prolly buy that cuz BASE doesn't have cruise control or HID or anything.
thanks

If you don't know, don't answer...

base has none.
enthusiast and higher has TCS (and LSD also, but you didn't ask about that).
performance and higher has TCS + VDC (+ LSD)

I doubt you'll find a new enthusiast for $26k...

Base has neither VDC or TCS
Enthusiast/Touring 5AT have TCS
Touring 6MT/Performance/Track have TCS and VDC but only one button that controls both.

VDC includes the functions of TCS.

As I understand it, TCS has the ability to limit the engine power. controlling things on that end. this limits the slippage that the rear wheels can have. as such it limits burnouts and skids to a point.

VDC can not only limit engine power, but also independently activate the brakes. so for skids, besides cutting power it will brake the wheels in order to control it and attempt to right the vehicles direction. it does this through an array of yaw sensors.

the others correctly answered the model designations.
