My Z days coming to a end
I have decided i will sell my 2006 rev up in the spring i live in Ontario so the Z never sees winter it's in storage. I have been lucky with my Z i don't add oil between oil changes and i have done only maintenance since 2013 and some mods i'm at 43000 miles US car.
Basically want to say this forum has been helpful i don't post much but i browse it daily and explain how i came to a Z and what's next.
Before my Z i had a 2008 Cobalt SS Turbo that made 300hp and 370tq to the wheels i honestly loved that car light fun fast turbo but what i did not is explaining myself about it and the fwd.
I don't have to do this with the Z people respect it more as so do i true sports car rear wheel drive great looks. I have wanted one since 2003 so when one showed up at a local dealership i test drove it and the VQ exhaust note great looks had me sold i paid $ 19000 with 30000 miles.
A list of cars to replace it that i have in mind are the 2012-13 Audi TT/RS 2016 Camaro SS 2012 bmw M3 and if i can swing it a 2014 corvette and finally a 2009 Nissan GTR
I own a successful contracting business so i can have options.
With this said i want to wish everyone good luck and thanks for all the helpful information on this forum.

My vote is the Corvette. I put a few hundred miles on a 2016 loaded z51 recently, it had to be one of the best car's I've ever driven. If you can live with another coupe, this is the one.

Why no Viper or Vette?

No because other than HP and a good motor everything else about a vette or vipers build quality is crap. I mean have you ever sat in the interior of either car? Total crap gm parts bin garbage. I'm sure the latest greatest is ok but let me know how many squeaks and rattles develop over the course of 50k miles. The ZO6 is a good car from a performance standpoint but I want alittle more refinement than GM or Dodge is gonna give. Keep in mind initial quality and long term reliability are two different things. I have almost 100,000 (96k)trouble free miles on my e90 try that with a viper LOL

I'll take a Vett (Z06 0r 7) any day over a German POS

I've owned 2 BMWs - one an M-car, 2 Benzes - one an AMG.....
Big deal.
Nice cars but both Bimmers and the two Bimmers belonging to my sister and brother-in-law (currently) have all had really nonsensical electrical gremlins in them. In addition, I find both of the latter Bimmers, one a 545i and the other a 2011 M3 to be ponderous and heavy. Sooooo unlike the previously owned E36 M3 I had.
After those experiences.... and despite their being great handling cars, prodigious power (albeit with questionable driver image), still no thanks.
Still love my Zs more despite the bad image associated with Z drivers being reckless and having something to prove.....

As far as image goes around here its less vehicle brand and more texter or non texter. As the texting drivers are wiping out motorcyclists around here right and left.
I will agree the e60 and e90 are too heavy but I still like mine as I said before I have 96k on mine and have only had one coil pack fail. Other than that its nothing but oil changes and brakes. One of my employees has a newer Camaro and its falling apart all the time at 30k. I do all maintenance on all my vehicles myself and can tell the difference in build quality not image or cool factor.

We had a 745 once and it was a nightmare to work on. And parts are expensive af! Tons of electrical problems too
I will never ever ever own another thing from Germany

BMW has some great cars. Cost of maintaining a BMW is kind of tricky. Like all things, you'll need to do your research.

Driving conditions in Pitt aren't idea to start with add a person not focused on the road, bad things for sure.

I just think BMW's are maintenance nightmares that are not worth the hassle of ownership. If you do own one you better know how to work on it or have a warrantee. Or keep 10k in the bank for unknown repair needs.
I just suggest the viper or vette as a strictly for fun car im sure a 911 or M3 would fit the bill as well. But if op already has a nice daily driver and the 350z is his fun car I would rather build up the Z then any of the other options he mentioned.
