Im looking to buy a used 350z with around 100k miles on it, and do you think I would be buying a safe car? or one that will blow up on me in a year. It will be daily driven

It might be worth your time and $ to have a mechanic do a 1hr inspection to look at brakes, bushings, compression and overall health. I wouldn't buy a 10yr old car simply off a test drive.

This is one of the nicest used Z's I've seen around here for a while. No personal interest, and I don't know the seller:

I've got 158,000 on my '03 and it still runs like a champ, although it does burn a quart of oil every 2500 miles or so. Been fairly maintenance free for 14 years now....

Get the maintenance records for the car. If the previous owner(s) has been diligent changing oil and following recommended maintenance procedures, you're good for at least another 75K miles.

You might need to replace some sensors (crankshaft, camshaft, and oxygen) at around the 100k mark, and the clutch is probably getting close to wearing out.

Look closely at the body for signs of rust. Rust is difficult and expensive to repair. If you see any rust, forget this one and look for another car.

- Make sure the title is clean.
- Check the Carfax. (if any)
- Ask for vehicle maintenance records from previous owners. (if any)
- Get on the ground, remove the splash guard and check for leaks and anything out of place.
- Start it and listen for abnormal noises.
- Drive it and listen/feel for abnormal noises/vibrations. Things should operate smoothly and deliberately.
- Go home and think about it. Do some research on the car.. Anything and everything. It's all out there.
- lol.. as far as blowing up. No, it won't blow up. As long as it was properly maintained up until this point, but there's no way of knowing that without maintenance records.
