(A) I don't understand why the cats are outside in the first place
(B) I wouldn't video tape doing anything cruel to a cat or you might find yourself in jail...
(C) Declaw the cats... why wouldn't you anyway?
(D) Why do you live with your sisters? Go buy a condo and live on your own...

a real anti cat techique
I have the same problem. Cats toboggan down the Z slopes and scratch Z thru cover. An Austin Healy owner gave me this technique which works on my Z with 2 cats.
1.Put the Z cover on.
2. Lay sheets of bubble wrap on all flat surfaces of the Z with bubble side up.
3. Put your rubbing compound away.
The cats do not like the feel of bubble wrap on their sensitive little paws. It works. But they now jump on my stomach at night and toboggan down my sides for revenge. Good luck.

I had the same problem with the neighbor's cat, so I built a garage. Of course I'm a cat person.

I guess I could say I`m a cat lover as well as a Z lover
you can go to most pet stores and they carry cat repellent
It is a spray. its usually used to spray on the corners of furnature to keep the kitties from scatching it, or to keep alley cats out of the garbage. It works.

Cats - Cats- Cats
I'm not too sure the horn honking thing is such a good idea. I would not want a cat freaking out when it is relaxing on the car. It looks like that is a major scratch job just waiting to happen.
They sell crushed up moth *****, (not the moths-just the *****) at the store and if you stuff a sock full of them and keep it near the car, the cats will stay away. They hate the smell of moth *****. But they will still chase a moth if they see one.

At my last house, I had a problem with ferral cats. They kept getting on my old car and leaving paw prints. I was irritated, but really didn't do much.
One morning, I went out, got in the car and started backing up the driveway. As I got to the end of the driveway and turned to look out the front window, I saw something surprising... Right on my wipers, the (*&^(* cat had left a little "present" for me! I just yelled out "OK...IT'S ON!" I got out, unrolled the hose, and washed off the crap, all the while trying to figure out how to exact my revenge.
I got a box trap from my wildlife biology major best friend, a can of tuna, and set the trap on the carport in front of the car. I soon had caught the wild black wiper-crapping cat. To the shelter he went, mean as can be...spitting, hissing, clawing all the way in it's trap. Problem solved.
But it wasn't. Soon, more paw prints. Trap set again, another black cat in the trap with a one way ride to the shelter. Problem solved? Nope.
Took me thirteen trips to the shelter hauling off ferral cats. Almost all black. One smokey.
I caught a neighbor's cat one cold morning, and let it go. The crazy thing sprayed my suit pants as it ran away. Didn't realize it until I got half way to work and the heat started blowing across my suit pants. Lucky for kitty it didn't find it's way into my trap again, it would have had a car ride, too.
Also had to release a few stray opossoms that wandered in looking for a meal
I don't hate cats, I'm really indifferent. However, they do not get on my car and not experience a ride to the shelter

i have a cat. even like them more then dogs. i cant even stand the though of having to walk them, and pick up their crap, let alone having my yard turd into its personal sh*ter. i like low maintanence items.
whenever im outside weather its washing my car or working on my car or just looking at my car, he likes to tag along. he doesnt run away. he just finds a shady spot on the grass under a tree and watches me. he used to stand on top of my old car, i thought it was pretty cool. BUT something had to be done when i got the Z. i had him declawed. (front paws only). i tell everyone its so he wont tear up the leather couches, but its really so he wont tear up my Z.
he wont even go near it anymore. i think its because he was IN the Z (in a cage) on the way to get declawed. works for me.
