Lay big sheets of aluminum foil on the hood, roof or wherever they are sitting on the car. Cats hate AF. I use it to keep them off the couch, from clawing corners of furniture etc..
Dont lay the AF right on the car of course, after you put on the cover, then put the AF in the spots the cats are sitting on it..

anytime they are even close to the car (not necessarily on it) hit the red button on your key fob.
After they are scared off a few times by the horn suddenly going off they wont even want to walk near it.

My cats don't go outside, but I may have to let them out one day just to try that.

Since the honking horn deterent already keeps my cats away from the car I dont think I'll have another opportunity to video their reaction. One of our cats would hop up on the car right after letting him out, so after putting him out I just waited for him to go jump on the car hood. I watched him walk to the front and right as it looked like he was going to jump...I blew the horn and he summersaulted backwards away from the car! I've not seen him on the car since!

I hate cats. I don't use that word often, it is such a harsh word. But there is nothing worse smelling than cat ****, well maybe cat p_ss. The neighbors cat was fond of sitting on the top of my Roadster. I bought a car cover from Courtesy Nissan. Now he does not jump up on the car. Now if I can only figure how to keep him from crapping in the bark in my rose garden. Did I say that I hate cats. Most of us live in areas where there are leash laws. Why don't those also apply to cats? Law abiding folk should not have to buy devices to scare away animals that don't belong to them.
