Hi. I just picked up my new (2004) SB Enthusiast. Must say, I LOVE IT. But after 1 day, something has developed. There is a buzzing type of nosie coming from the rear near the exhaust. It isn't constant. At first I only headr it when the car went from 1st to 2nd gear (I have an AUTO), but now I hear it when the car is idling. I stood behind the car and it is definitely coming from the exhaust/muffler area. Almost sounds like a vibration sound of 2 pieces of rubbing metal.
Anyone ever heard of this (I couldn't find it by using the search)? Any ideas?
I will call my dealer, but service department is closed today, and I really can't get there until Thursday of this week anyway.

Sounds like it's a minor thing. If you can't scoot under the car and tell what it is (don't let it roll onto you!), then, the next time you're by the dealer have then check it out.
You're going to have a few little things to check and adjust, so don't get discouraged! Have faith.

I had the same problem before, but my noise only happened on startup and a few minutes thereafter. It ended up being a screw (not from car) stuck in the heat shield of my exhaust. They took that out, and the noise left.

Thanks, guys for the responses. I made an appointment for service, but the earliest they could get me in is Monday (3/1). I just hope it is nothing that I will make worse by driving it until then. Luckily (and normally this is very unfortunate as I LOVE to drive this car) I only have a 3 mile drive to work.
