Cheap Racing Seats for Tall Drivers
Just got my Z on September 12. It's a 2004 Gray Enthusiast, only 62,000 miles I absolutely love it. But, I am 6'4-6'5. I fit well but I would be a lot more comfortable if I was an inch or two lower to the ground. I was looking at aftermarket seats and searching through the forums and people have suggested what route to take but nobody has clarified what works the best for the price. So I need your guys help on your experience on racing seats what can make the seat as low as possible and how can I do this by not spending a lot of money? Thanks!!

I'm 6'7 (200cm) and I feel your pain.
I guess you could go to a workshop and have the stock seat rails lowered or modified? If you want aftermarket seats there are plenty to choose from, and since you can buy specific brackets for them I'm sure you can find something to meet your needs.

Welcome- "cheap" and "racing seats" do not go together. If you want a lower seat position, the best route is to get some custom seat rails built, but that'll cost $$. Cheap out on this and you'll also compromise your safety, so proceed with caution.

This approach should a be a good gain of two plus inches.
The stock seat bracket slider can have it's mount cut clean off leaving just the slider. Then an aftermarket bracket can be welded to it!
Also the adjustments on the OEM seat have bump stops. Trimming a tooth or two off them should few up some more degrees of adjustment!

Corbeau seats aren't terribly 'expensive' compared to the BRIDEs that most owners go with. And I know when I bought mine they offered to shave an inch or so off the base to lower your position in the seat since they aren't adjustable like the OEM 350Z seats they replace.

OEM Seat adjustment mod
Magic ! You'd think someone would document this !
trimming the adjustment a few mm and you get about an inch drop of the seat base. With the seat back reclined that send the helmet/skull of the driver down and back so overall more clearance !
The circle to the left is the rear adjustment, it's the only one I trimmed .
Do not trim the bolt
Only massage the the groove

EDIT:
the pic is taken with the seat upside down, so your looking from the bottom.
Basically you would massage the grove that hits the bolt stop.
Seen in the light red circle that groove gives more adjustment.
So once you deepen the groove you'll have more turn in the adjustment **** thus giving a lower seat position and with the seat reclined positioning your head down and back !

you can have the driver seat mounting tabs dropped dramatically as well, grind out the locating pin, cut and re weld new bolt tabs , and I dropped my oem seats drastically.
