Hi guys,
I've just added a Motordyne 5/16" plenum spacer to my 350z 2004. Now I get 4 ECU errors all about air intake.
I just wanna know, is it normal after changing the plenum, or I probably have some loss of air somewhere and I need to fix it?
Looks like you did 1 or 2 things.
Did not tighten plenum enough so you have a air leak.
Or You didnt plug one of the hoses back in. Again Air leak.
Hope that helps.
Also a good idea to reset your ECU after this kind of install.

For me, yes.
I assembled mine with gaskets and torqued to spec, idled like ****. I put a vacuum guage on to discover major leaks. Took the whole thing apart and siliconed every edge. Reassembled and boom, no more leaks.
unfortunately I can read the error on this weekend, since I'm far for job, but they were all related to air intake system. Btw I'll write here when I'll have my car again.

I tighten them at the torque they say to do.
And I'm pretty sure to have replugged all hooses.

Ohhh I see. I have leaved the original gasket inside, do you suggest to remove it and use only the ones on the spacer?

I reused the original gasket on bottom and the one from the kit on top.
^^^ Make sure ALL hoses are connected, including the 1 under air intake snorkel.
I have that spacer as well. Kept the stock one in there too since it's still good. I didnt have any errors after install so crank it down and check your hoses.
Weekend Update: Hi guys, the errors seem to be gone after I cancelled them before driving again my car, most probably as written into instructions the mod needs some driving to fix and seal complitely (in this case I feel very lucky). Anyway, just to be sure that everything is ok, is there somebody that can check, via OBDII and with a plenum spacer installed, the value of vacum sensor because datas before and after are different on my car.
Thanks to everybody and Happy Easter!!
Hey guys just for let you know, I've just tighten a little the bolts of plenum and the error disappeared, then I did an ECU reset and now the car works really fine, thanks to everybody!
