370z o2 sensor on 350z?
Hello guys, so I have a 2008 350z hr base and I have 370z long tube headers on it. So recently I soldered and extended my O2 sensor and I’ve been getting a kick when I drive and it’s constantly every 5 - 10sec on the roads. I did idle relearn, I reset the ecu but none worked. So I was just thinking I didn’t do a good job with the solder. I want to know if I’m able to use 370z o2 sensors on my 350z?

Yes it did get tuned, it was driving good then one morning it went to limp mode and CEL came on for O2 sensor so I changed it. After, the rev jumps about 100-200 more then what I’m on when driving and kicks me forward and then stabilize but it repeats every 5-10 sec.
*note that when I changed to o2, I did it myself and I had to do wire work to extend the sensor. That’s when I start having the problem when it kicks me forward.
*Main question is can I use 370z o2 sensors on my 350z since I have 370z long tubes? What’s causing my rev to jump when I’m driving?
(sorry if I didn’t explain myself good)

I would say "no" to 370Z O2 sensor. Delivers different values to the ECU as the VQ37VHR is tuned very differently (uses very different threshold parameters). (And they are different OE part numbers.)
Do you have anti-fouler caps on it (search this site) or are the sensors just plugged into the headers? Most times 02 sensor errors are set off when the sensors are exposed to the direct/full flow of test pipes or headers.

Since I did extend the wire for my o2 sensor, could bad wiring be the cause of my problem?
*The problem is say I’m driving normal at 2500 rpms, but it jumps about 200 more (now at 2700 rpm) then it returns back to 2500 and it repeats itself every 5 seconds and this kicks me forward acting like I’m about to take off but I’m not.

Anything you did that might change the resistance including wrong guage wiring or solder will throw return readings off.
As stated above, install correct 350 O2 sensors behind no foulers. Gl

Put it on Ebay, set the reserve to a price you're comfortable with and let the auction run for a couple of weeks. If the bids don't hit the reserve, at least you'll know what people are willing to pay for it and can change your price accordingly. Post a copious number of photos, history, etc. The better you can document the car, the more interest you'll get in it.

I multitask like a dog in a chew toy factory. LOL. Serves me right for having more than one window open. You may carry on.
