$5 roll of duct tape and $10 bucket of rustolyum...

So about $15..

$16 if you don't have a paint brush.

i'd say the paint might set you back 75 to 100 at most.

Take to local shops and ask for estimates. No one can be accurate here... labor rates and all that.

FWIW, my body guy (who has done far more work for me than I'd ever wished for, laff) wants $5,000 for complete paint. Very high quality as his past work indicates and would last forever with care of course). Sure you could get Maaco or Schreib to do a 2-year paint job for a grand.

Like most things, you get what you pay for.

Those tears on the seat look like they warrant a replacement, but I used some Colourlock fluid leather filler on some minor tears on the seats in my G35 from where the previous owner apparently let his dog ride shotgun. It looks OK for the time being, but it also dries with a glossy finish as opposed to the matte leather on the seats. It might work for you, but those tears look like they're too big. Might be worth a shot.

The seats look as though they will need at least recovering. I did this on my 2003 350z, but I also had to rebuild the foam support in the seat:

The project had a nice result, but it was expensive.

I cannot be sure from your photo if you are having problems with rust or just peeling paint, but you live in a climate that might promote rust due to road treatments. I’m in Minnesota and drive my Z during the winter months. I’ve repaired rust on the rear fenders (both sides in the same position), about 3 years ago. Now I’m seeing rust in a couple of different spots (the key hole - driver side door, and at the edge of the rear quarter panel). Fighting with rust (especially when you live where chemicals are applied to the road surface) can be a losing battle.

These Elmo-skinned seat covers are the one thing I didn't realize my car needed.

Default seats

you can get new leather upholstery for about $500-650+ installation probably around $300. This is not for covers this is upholstery. Covers would be less than $100

LOL. Why don't you take it to a reputable body shop and get it fixed then?

It's just going to get worse and the problem is not going to "fix itself."
