Brought my 04 350z to dealer for fuel systems recall and diagnostic for overheating. Was told ipdm is defective and needs to be replaced. Car had no issues or whatsoever when I brought it in for the recall. Now so many problems. Need help. Do not trust Nissan

Welcome- it sounds like you had some problems with overheating before your trip into the dealership. But if you don't trust your local Nissan dealership, take it to another shop to have the codes read and the car evaluated. There's very little help available from the scant information you've provided.

To follow up on my earlier messsage about my 350, it overheated three days before taking the car to Nissan dealer for Fuel syatem recall. I had a friend who is a mechanic check and he noted the tripple 40a fuse and one 40a blowup. It was replaced and but noted a delay in the fan to turn on while at an idle. Nissan mecahnic indicated that he discovered unsecured and exposed wires by the cooling fan which could have caused the short and IPDM to go down. He said he used another IPDM and it seemed to work well. I am not mechanically inclined but suspect the mechanic explanation. Everything in the car was working and had a good AC but insisted that IPDM is the problem. This part is very expensive and can only get it through the dealership where I live. Any suggestions or assistance is apprciated. I informed the advisor that I will take my car to a different shop but he insisted that I may pay double due if I do
