Why does everyone dislike the 350Z?
S2000 and RX8 owners that is.
I was browsing the S2000 and RX8 boards a little while ago, and the general impression I got was that these owners can't stand the 350Z, saying it's slow and not very nice quality.
I've heard bad things about the RX8 rotary, so wouldn't even consider that car. I was also interested in the S2000, but decided I didn't really want a convertable so didn't drive one. Has anyone driven either one of these cars? How do they compare to the Z?

Take your pick. You yourself just diss the RX8 on its bad engine. So if someone from the RX8 board saw this, they'll say "Why all the 350Z peeps hating on our rides!" (see the cycle?)
I've haven't drove a RX8 or S2000 so can't comment. They look pretty, but based on specs, the Z performance is better (in terms of HP and Torque)

Same reasons that you'll see some members here hating on the S2K or RX-8. Well, not so much the S2K, but the 8 you'll see a lot of on these boards. Happens a lot with the performance car crowd. Look at how many of the LS1 guys like the Z...

Take a look at the s2000 forum, and you'll find that most of them place the 350z as their main rival. Many write estatic BS stories to celebrate a road win over the Z, M and S. Whatever, its fanboy land to me. Don't let that get you down. Remember, bigger is better! ;-)
The RX8 isn't so bad, there's always one or 2 guys making dumb statements. I think the majority bought the car because they liked it, not because they thought it was fast.
All I can say is, I love the 350z even though I don't have one. Doesn't matter what I ride, I always smile when I see a Z.

I let him test drive it, he said it felt similar to his buddy's M3. Not sure if he was just tryin to be nice or not hehe

Everyone hates some car or another. Especially one in the same price range and category. Just like Camaro owners don't exactly like Mustangs. It's something people do just to justify their purchase and also a feeling of loyalty to some brand. Now if you owned an Enzo, everyone would suck your... toe.

The Z carries a lot of cache among some car enthusiasts. I find myself in kind of the Corvette situation in my town. Most of the car enthusiasts here drive DSM's, Honda's or 240SX's. When I meet them, at first, they think I'm not going to like their car. (Even some of the Scooby drivers!) When I'm nodding or want to find out more about their car, they are like no way! You've got to appreciate a car enthusiast. Even the ricey ones! That's a guy's heart out on the line. (did I just use the word cache?

Not everyone dislikes the Z. I haven't driven one yet, but I like it a lot. There are some people that own both the 350Z and the S2000.
People want to justify their purchase so they have to put down the other cars.

They are jealous because it is a proven fact that the average 350Z owner has a 50% longer ***** than his RX-8 and S2000 counterparts. (except for the female owners of course) I have a link to the study that was done, I'll try to find it.
